Out of Reach: Tales from the Adirondack Pack by K.C. Stewart Review

Out of Reach: Tales from the Adirondack PackOut of Reach: Tales from the Adirondack Pack by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Out of Reach: Tales from the Adirondack Pack by K.C. Stewart is a wonderful addition to the Adirondack Pack series. It is a collection of previously published and new short stories and novellas. Most of the stories are about Tyson and Sadie, which is fine by me because I love those two characters.

The tales include:

"Over the Line" is the prequel to the series. It is Tyson and his sister Jenny’s story. I really enjoyed this novella. I love Tyson. My heart broke for him in “Too Far Gone." “Over the Line," explains everything that took place that caused Tyson to go feral.

"A Break in the Path" is a deleted scene from “Too Far Gone” It is an amusing read of the first-time Sadie meets Tyson in his human form.

"In Pursuit" takes place after “Too Far Gone”. It is Tyson and Sadie’s honeymoon story that does not go as planned. It is a thrilling read that makes you love the characters even more.

"Unleashed" takes place between “Fault Lines” and “On the Edge”. It is Zach’s and Juliet's story. This is an amazing read. The story is heartfelt and moving. I loved discovering move about these two characters.

"Unhinged" is a humorous Tyson and Sadie novelette about Sadie’s fear of spiders.

I’m glad that K.C. Stewart released “Out of Reach." It is a skillfully-written and entertaining addition to the Adirondack Pack series. It gives the reader great insight to its characters and story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

In Too Deep (Adirondack Pack #4) by K.C. Stewart Review

In Too Deep (Adirondack Pack, #4)In Too Deep by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

K. C. Stewart’s IN TOO DEEP is a thrilling addition to the Adirondack Pack series. Lylia is the assistant to the Adirondack Pack Alpha. She is being blackmailed for her secret that she was born into a Canidae pack not to be revealed. Meanwhile, Susquehanna pack enforcer, Miles, is on loan to her pack to help with the Canidae investigation, and he suspects that Lylia is hiding something. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences.

K.C. Stewart does an amazing job with her character development. Miles is the brooding enforcer. He suspects Canidae was involved with his wife’s disappearance. It is understandable why his dislikes the organization so much and why Lylia is afraid to confide in anyone. I really like Lylia. She is the glue to the Adirondack pack. She is an amazing assistant, going above and beyond. Everyone loves her. I appreciated that Lylia gets Mira and Lee working together. She is extremely clever. The two are fascinating individuals who grow throughout the story.

There are many interesting twists throughout the novel. It was exciting and unique. I thought the history of Canidae and its evolution was thought-provoking. I love that the characters from the previous books were instrumental in this story. Adirondack Pack is a wonderful series. I recommend it to lovers of PNR. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

On the Edge (Adirondack Pack #3) by K.C. Stewart Review

On the Edge (Adirondack Pack, #3)On the Edge by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

K.C. Stewart created another amazing addition to the Adirondack Pack Series, On the Edge. Lee Reece alienated herself from her friends. The only thing helping her get through is her three-year on-line gaming relationship with fellow wolf, Vince Steinbeck. However, Vince does not know Lee’s true identity, and Lee is afraid to reveal herself. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences.

I loved On the Edge. I like Lee’s character. I enjoyed hearing Lee’s story and discovering her point of view. After a childhood accident left her barren, she felt like an outcast from the pack. She doesn’t realize how people really feel about her. She goes through a lot in this story and does some soul searching. Vince is a noble character. He is great with kids which makes Lee’s inability to have kids more difficult for her, not wanting to be selfish. Vince finds himself in some trouble with Canidae that puts his life at risk.

The plot was well executed and entertaining. I also enjoyed the side story of Mira and Sadie’s mom, Ann, coming to visit. There were some interesting things that transpired from that visit. Mira also has some self-discovery in this story. I appreciated that she has Zach as a friend that can relate to her. I love how the characters intertwine and interact. For example, I think Vince having known Jenny is clever. I love that the story began and ended with Lee and Vince playing each other online. The ending was hilarious. I cannot wait for Miles story in the next book, Out of Reach.

Fault Lines (Adirondack Pack #2) by K.C. Stewart Review

Fault Lines (Adirondack Pack, #2)Fault Lines by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Miranda James travels to Adirondack to confront her sister, Sadie, for avoiding her calls. She is headed off by the Adirondack Pack alpha, Owen Purcell. There is no denying their chemistry.

I have been anxious to read Mira’s and James’ story ever since reading its excerpt at the end of Book one, Too Far Gone. I loved Sadie and Tyson, so who better to read about then Sadie’s sister and Tyson’s best friend.

Mira is a fun heroine. She is feisty. She challenges Owen. Owen is a great Alpha and protector. I love his nickname, Rabbit, for Mira. They are an unlikely, yet fascinating couple.

I enjoyed the scenes with some of the secondary characters. I really like Zack. His gaming with Mira is entertaining and nostalgic. He also has some creative name-calling. There are some interesting petty-ex-girlfriend scenes with Lee. Then there is the conniving, Mitch.

There is a lot going on in the story. Canidae has still not given up and as always provides conspiracy and drama. Fault Lines is a well-written and fast-paced novel. I love the Adirondack Pack Series. I cannot wait for Lee and Vince's story.

Too Far Gone by KC Stewart

Too Far Gone
(Adirondack Pack #1)
by K.C. Stewart
Publication Date: June 8, 2015
Cover Design: Mayhem Cover Creations
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Synopsis

It’s either the beginning or the end for Sadie James. She came to the small Adirondack town of Andora looking for a fresh start. One that didn’t include the pitying looks of strangers who saw her on the news. Only days into her new life and already she is in trouble. That is, unless the wolf in front of her was salivating at the sight of some other woman in the vast forest around her.

After killing his sister, Tyson searched for oblivion the only way he knew how to. As a wolf he could run from the life he left behind and become the animal he always was. The time between lucidness grows longer each times he surfaces. One day he won’t be able to come back at all. It was the only thing he looked forward to until a lost woman fell at his feet.

Sadie is in danger and she is blind to it. Although, it was never proven, Tyson always believed Jack was behind his sister’s ultimate demise. Now Jack has his sights set on Sadie. Can he fight the pull of the wild or will he let her face the wolves alone?

Too Far Gone (Adirondack Pack, #1) by K. C. Stewart Review

Too Far Gone (Adirondack Pack, #1)Too Far Gone by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 4 ½ of 5 stars

Sadie James relocates to Adirondack to start a new life after being attacked by a stalker. Wolf shifter, Tyson Cartwright, was broken after having to kill his sister for treason against the pack. He has shifted becoming a Lone Wolf for the past year. After meeting in the woods, Tyson is drawn to Sadie and feels a need to protect her.

I admired Sadie. What she underwent with the stalker was horrific. She was courageous to pick up her life in an effort to move on from her nightmares.

My heart went out to Tyson. As an enforcer, it would be horrible to be put in a position to have to kill your only blood relative that you loved and raised. It is understandable that he had difficulty dealing with the aftereffects. He is a worthy man who deserves to forgive himself.

Jake is the perfect nemesis for Tyson. He is soulless and responsible for Tyson’s sister’s demise. His though-process was scary and added interesting tension to the story.

Owen Purcell is an admirable Alpha and friend to Tyson. He is clever and a respectable man. I am looking forward to his story in book 2, Fault Lines.

I like that the story was told from both Sadie and Tyson’s viewpoints. I loved Tyson’s impressions of Sadie. He had me giggling. I also appreciated the conversations he had with his wolf side.

I enjoyed the plot. It had a few unexpected twists and was filled with excitement. The story is well-written and had a good pace. K.C. Stewart did an exceptional job creating a believable story with likeable characters. This is one series I will definitely continue.
