Ann Einerson gets a win with IF YOU GIVE A CEO A CHANCE (Aspen Grove #3). Former professional hockey player and current CEO of Stafford Holdings and partial team owner of the Mavericks NHL team. Harrison Stafford had been diagnosed with celiac disease. He interviews a private chef specializing in allergy-friendly cuisine named Fallon Hayes. However, Fallon changed her name. Harrison knew her as Elizabeth, the woman he spent an unforgettable weekend with and never forgot. The two had a misunderstanding that left neither wanting to work with the other, but Harrison’s matchmaking mother has other plans.

Ann Einerson does a nice job with this story. It is skillfully written and entertaining. The characters are likable and dimensional. Fallon and Harrison have great chemistry. They had a misunderstanding, which left them guarded around each other. I enjoyed the plot. Their prank wars were fun and sometimes over the top. Their demon cat is awesome.

This is the first book I have read by Ann Einerson. I enjoyed her writing style. I would read a book by her again. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

J.A. Low does a great job with this story. The characters are dimensional and interesting. The plot was entertaining. This is the first book that I have read by J.A. Low. I enjoyed her writing style. I plan on continuing reading the Manhattan Mavericks series and look forward to the book two, HEART ON ICE. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Elise Faber gets a win with KNOTTED LACES (Eagles Hockey #2). Hockey star Cam Jackson has been in love with his brother Lex’s FBI partner, Athena Phillips, for years. The problem is he thinks she is in love with Lex. Then they end up stranded alone together in a cabin during a storm. Cam sets out to win her over.

Elise Faber does a wonderful job with this story. She does a great job setting the background and then bringing you into the future. The characters are well-developed and likeable. The plot is believable. I like how both characters’ jobs are incorporated into the storyline.

Lex had a rough childhood that leaves her with some mental scars. She is having a hard time coping with the recent loss of a partner who saved her life. Cam is struggling with medical results he discovered about a previous injury. He is having confidence issues. He doesn’t think he is good enough.

KNOTTED LACES is an excellent addition to the Eagles Hockey series. It is skillfully written. It is entertaining with interesting twists. I am looking forward to Hudson’s story next, LUCKY LACES. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Toni Aleo lights the lamp with PUCKS AND PUPS (Knoxville Bears #4). Knoxville Bears Coach Riggs McCoy hires Clara McDavid to stay at his house and watch his dogs when he travels. He is attracted to her, but she’s the owner’s granddaughter, and he is fifteen years older than her. However, she has her sight set on him, and it is getting harder to resist.

Toni Aleo does a fantastic job with this story. Clara and Riggs are a fun couple, and the dogs are adorable. Riggs is known for being grumpy. He was hurt after his divorce fourteen years prior. Clara is the sunshine that he needs. Clara is the youngest McDavid sister. Her sisters are extremely protective of her. The couple face some interesting and entertaining situations.

Pucks and Pups was the perfect addition to the Knoxville Bears series. It is my new favorite book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Sawyer Bennett is on a winning streak with book fourteen in the Pittsburgh Titans series, KING. Titans' defenseman Jack Kingston offers to help Doctor Willa Montreaux coach her niece’s pee wee hockey team when no one else offers to step up.

I love that King notices and admires Willa when she stands up to a difficult parent. Having been a hockey mom and team manager, I appreciate that Willa and King prioritized that the kids should have fun at that age. It should be a positive experience.

Willa and Jack have wonderful chemistry. Willa is eight years older than King. That does not deter him. Willa is also divorced and hesitant to get in a relationship. However, she would consider a one-night-stand. Contrary, King is not into one-nightstands. He has only ever had one long-term relationship and is inexperienced with dating. It is an interesting dynamic.

Willa and Jack are both likable characters. The story is skillfully written and interesting. I am looking forward to Rafferty Abrams’ story next. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Lauren Blakely lights the lamps with THE BOYFRIEND GOAL (Love and Hockey #1). In this story, Josie Winters moves to San Francisco to start a temporarily three-month job as a librarian and to be closer to her brother, Christian, the captain of the Seadogs NHL team. Upon her arrival, she has a series of mishaps and is rescued by a gorgeous man named Wes. They have a one-night stand. She could not stop thinking about him but never got his last name. When her housing falls through she goes to her brother for help. One of his teammates has a spare room and offered her to live with him. What she was not expecting was her new roommate to be Wesley (Wes) Bryant, her one-night stand.

I loved this story. Lauren Blakely does an amazing job with this novel. Wes and Josie have fantastic chemistry. Wes is a good guy. He opens to Josie about having dyslexia. Josie is working at a library financed by a grant to update the branch’s digital initiative.

Josie has a bucket list that was given to her by her deceased Aunt Greta. Wes offers to do it with her. There are some interesting things on the list that help Josie (and Wes) grow. The couple face compelling situations and obstacles.

THE BOYFRIEND GOAL is an excellent foundation for the Love and Hockey series. I am looking forward to Max and Everly’s story, THE ROMANCE LINE. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Cathryn Fox scores with HOOK ‘EM HARD (Bang Brothers Hockey #6). Tanner Bang is the last of the kids for his mother to marry off. He is a rookie on the Boston Bucks. He is interested in the team’s physiotherapist, Maeve Carter. The problem is she is the daughter of his oldest teammate, Felix Carter. They wind up in a fake relationship to help ward off his mom, in exchange for his help watching out for her ex.

Cathryn Fox does a great job with this story. Tanner and Maeve are both likeable characters. Tanner, being the baby of the family, feels like people do not always think he is capable. He feels smothered by his family and wants to prove himself. Maeve is a former model. She was attacked leaving her scared (physically and emotionally). Since then, she does not like to be in the spotlight. The couple face interesting situations and grow throughout the novel.

HOOK ‘EM HARD is an excellent conclusion to the Bang Brothers Hockey series. I love how Cathryn Fox included characters from the other books in the series. I am now interested in reading the Boston Bucks’ series. The first book is STICK MOVE. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
