Sawyer Bennet is heating things up with KANE (Arizona Vengeance, Book #8). NHL star Kane Bellan best friend Mollie Callister shows up at his house after being attached. While staying with him, their ten-year friendship turns into more, but will their careers be an issue? This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

I loved this story. Kane and Mollie became friends their freshman year at Boston College. They both loved the other but never wanted to risk their friendship. Throw in Kane’s travel schedule and the fact that Mollie is a travel blogger, and they did not get to see each other often.

Sawyer Bennet does a fabulous job with this story. The characters have compelling obstacles. They sole search and grow throughout the novel. The characters are both lovable, and my heart went out to them. I love how devoted Mollie and Kane are to each other. They have an amazing friendship. I found Mollie’s job fascinating. It took a lot of courage to do what she did.

KANE is a wonderful addition to the Arizona Vengeance series. I recommend this book to people who enjoy friends to lovers and/or sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Ariana Rose scores with BITTER EDGE (Cocky Hero Club). After a career-ending injury, hockey player, Spencer Broten, became a certified personal trainer to help other athletes. He is hired to rehabilitate Olympic figure skater hopeful, Cierra Avila, who tore her ACL. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

Ariana Rose does a great job with this story. I like that Spencer and Cierra had a rocky start that develops into respect. Spencer suffered a similar injury to Cierra, so he can understand what she is going through. I like that he is tough on her, and she challenges him. I enjoyed how the story played out, and the characters developed. I like that the two have things in common and begin to trust and need each other.

BITTER EDGE is skillfully written. It is a heartfelt story that was thought-provoking and easy to read. This is the first book that I have read by Ariana Rose. I enjoyed her writing style and would read more of her work in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Jacob Chance gets a hat trick with the third book in the Boston Terriers Hockey series, BLOCKED. In this story, goalie Shaw Masters gets a second chance with the girl of his dreams, Maddie Winters. Unfortunately, she is also the younger sister of best friend and teammate, Marshall and therefore, off limits. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for new adults.

BLOCKED is a heartwarming and realistic read. Marshall, Shaw, and Maddie grew up together and always hung out; the two best friends and tag along little sister. Maddie had a crush on Shaw, not realizing he reciprocated it. I like that both characters matured as the story went on; especially Maddie, who always felt she was in her brother’s shadow. I got a dog my junior year of college, so I appreciated that Shaw did the same. The characters faced some realistic obstacles that kids their age would encounter. I would not mind hearing more of Shaw’s and Maddie’s story, maybe in Marshall’s story? I look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I scoop more chicken onto a folded chunk of naan and moan as I savor the taste. There are some decent restaurants where I live, all within walking distance, which is a bonus, but none are as good as Tandor’s. I can’t even piece together what makes it so delicious but it’s mouth-watering amazing.

“Jesus, Tessa. Can you not sound like you’re having an orgasm when you eat?”

I choke on my chicken and wash it down with my water. “Don’t like it, you can leave.”

“But then I won’t be able to share with you why I’m here.”

The chicken I’ve devoured rolls in my stomach. Obviously it’s not because he’s a nice guy. I lean back in my chair. “What is it?”

He huffs a laugh and I hate he looks so damn good, smirking at me, shaking his head like I’m some amusing little thing.

“You’re cute, Tessa. I ever tell you that?”

“I think the day you took me to get stitches in my head, yeah. You bopped me on the nose with a finger and said ‘cute and tough, nice’ before ignoring me the rest of the weekend.”

I’m mortified with myself. He’s not supposed to know these things, know how much I remember every.single.encounter with him ever.

His mouth opens a bit and he stares at me. Yeah. That dose of word vomit probably surprises the hell out of him too. But hell, in for a penny. He says he doesn’t give a shit about what Sawyer thinks? He should know what I think.

“I’m pretty sure that’s the day I started having a crush on you.”

He doesn’t take his eyes off me as he chews on what I think is chicken tikki masala. Slowly, he swallows and sets his own fork down. Leaning forward, elbows on the table, I’m tempted to drop my gaze to his mouth and watch his full lips move so sexily as he opens his mouth and asks, “Want to know when it started for me? When I started facing the reality that it was my best friend’s little sister that made my dick hard in my dreams at night and when I was on the road?”
