In Too Deep by K.C. Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
K. C. Stewart’s IN TOO DEEP is a thrilling addition to the Adirondack Pack series. Lylia is the assistant to the Adirondack Pack Alpha. She is being blackmailed for her secret that she was born into a Canidae pack not to be revealed. Meanwhile, Susquehanna pack enforcer, Miles, is on loan to her pack to help with the Canidae investigation, and he suspects that Lylia is hiding something. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences.
K.C. Stewart does an amazing job with her character development. Miles is the brooding enforcer. He suspects Canidae was involved with his wife’s disappearance. It is understandable why his dislikes the organization so much and why Lylia is afraid to confide in anyone. I really like Lylia. She is the glue to the Adirondack pack. She is an amazing assistant, going above and beyond. Everyone loves her. I appreciated that Lylia gets Mira and Lee working together. She is extremely clever. The two are fascinating individuals who grow throughout the story.
There are many interesting twists throughout the novel. It was exciting and unique. I thought the history of Canidae and its evolution was thought-provoking. I love that the characters from the previous books were instrumental in this story. Adirondack Pack is a wonderful series. I recommend it to lovers of PNR. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
