BLURB

Ryder Goode has been my celebrity crush since he signed on with the Charleston Coyotes. Watching him race around the ice has become a favorite pastime of mine.

Despite him being one of my brother’s teammates, we’ve never met. At least not until he cashes in on the prize he won in a charity auction—one weekend with me as his personal chef.

During those two days, every preconceived notion I have about him gets annihilated, leaving me wanting to learn more about the kind and generous man.

So when he asks me to stay on as his full-time chef, I accept. And when the two of us can’t keep our hands off each other, I warn him I’ll never fall for him.

Even though it’s too late—I already have.

Although I might be trying to fool the forward, it turns out, I’m only fooling myself.

Guarding the Goalie (Charleston Coyotes) by Jacob Chance

Title: Guarding the Goalie
Series: Charleston Coyotes
Author: Jacob Chance
Release Date: August 18, 2023
Genre/Tropes: Sports Romance, Rom Com, Forced Proximity, Fake Relationship, Boss/Employee
Cover Design: Black Widow Designs

The first time I met Murphy, the goalie of the Coyotes hockey team, I thought he was the most attractive man I’d ever seen.

The second time, we shared a wild night and I never planned to see him again.

Imagine my surprise when I showed up for a work meeting only to find out Murphy was my new client.

He needed a bodyguard to pose as his live-in girlfriend, and I was perfect for the job.

And now I’ve discovered living together in such close proximity comes with its own set of challenges… The man never wears a shirt. Or pants.

The more I fight to keep things professional between us, the more he struts around in his boxer briefs trying to tempt me.

It turns out guarding the goalie may be easy.

But resisting him is damn near impossible.

Guarding the Goalie (Charleston Coyotes #3) by Jacob Chance Review

Guarding the Goalie (Charleston Coyotes, #3)Guarding the Goalie by Jacob Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jacob Chance gets a shutout with GUARDING THE GOALIE (Charleston Coyotes #3). Charleston Coyotes goalie Jack Murphy has a stalker. He decides to hire a female bodyguard who can pretend to be his girlfriend. Wendy Bruschi recently started a security business. She is shocked to discover her recent one-nightstand turns out to be her new client.

Wendy is best friends with Evie from WANTING THE WINGER (Charleston Coyotes #1). Evie is the girlfriend of Murphy’s teammate Darius.

Murphy is a good guy. I adored his puppy Mayer. I love that Murphy is good to his grandmother, who raised him. I appreciated that he is usually a one-nightstand kind of guy, and that Wendy gave him a taste of his own medicine. Wendy had a bad boyfriend experience and shies away from relationships. Murphy has his work cut out for him, winning her over. The two have amazing chemistry.

GUARDING THE GOALIE is an excellent addition to the Charleston Coyotes series. The book was skillfully written with interesting twists. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

BLOCKED (Boston Terriers Hockey) by Jacob Chance

Title: Blocked
Series: Boston Terriers Hockey
Author: Jacob Chance
Genre: New Adult/Sports Romance
Release Date: June 26, 2020

Attending Boston University was something we were supposed to do together, until Shaw Masters, my brother’s best friend, broke my heart and chased our dream without me.

Choosing bromance over romance, Shaw is now living his best life, playing hockey for the Boston Terriers while I’ve wasted a year letting my shattered heart rob me of my future.

But not anymore.

Now, also attending B.U., I’m determined to forget he exists.

Who cares if he’s everywhere I turn with his familiar, lingering gaze drawing me in?
Who cares if his presence stirs up old feelings best forgotten?
He might be the goalie, but it’s my turn to block him from gliding back into my heart.
