Empty Net by Teagan Hunter

Empty Net by Teagan Hunter is now live!

I have two goals this season:

1. Stop enough pucks to get the Seattle Serpents to the playoffs.

2. Don’t fall for my fake fiancée.

When Lilah Maddison’s mother keeps trying to set her up on dates she’s not interested in, she blurts out that she’s already seeing someone. The problem? She’s single.

So, I step in to help and agree to pretend to be her boyfriend for an event. But when things go awry, we’re no longer just dating—we’re engaged. Now, I have to find a way to keep her family off her back and our team in a playoff spot, all without falling in love with Lilah, which seems more impossible with each passing day.

She’s funny, driven, drop-dead gorgeous, and not afraid to make the first move. I know we’re playing a dangerous game, yet I can’t stop myself from having feelings I definitely shouldn’t be having, especially not for my fake fiancée.

It’s my job to block, make saves, and keep the puck out of my own net, but this might be one match I can’t win…and I might not want to.

EMPTY NET is a standalone hockey romance novel. There's a cinnamon roll goalie (who is a very good boy) that is fake engaged to a headstrong heroine, found family vibes, slightly unhinged group chats with teammates, plenty of steam, and a happy ending.

Meet Teagan

TEAGAN HUNTER writes steamy romantic comedies with lots of sarcasm and a side of heart. She loves pizza, hockey, and romance novels, though not in that order. When not writing, you can find her watching entirely too many hours of Supernatural, One Tree Hill, or New Girl. She's mildly obsessed with Halloween and prefers cooler weather. She married her high school sweetheart, and they currently live in the PNW.

Empty Net (Seattle Serpents #4) by Teagan Hunter Review

Empty Net by Teagan Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Teagan Hunter gets a shutout with EMPTY NET (Seattle Serpents #4). In this story, Seattle Serpents’ goalie Arthur Fox (Foxy) is the team’s good boy. When he overhears Lilah Maddison being berated by her mother, he comes to her rescue, pretending to be her boyfriend. One thing leads to another, and now they are fake-engaged.

Lilah is best friends with Auden (BODY CHECK, Seattle Serpent #1). She is a smart and likeable heroine. Her parents are wealthy snobs that never provided a loving environment. Fox is the lovable Southern gentleman. His family is the opposite of Lilah’s. The two have incredible chemistry. I love how they grow as they get to know one another.

Teagan Hunter does a great job with this story. It is skillfully written and entertaining. It is the perfect addition to the Seattle Serpents series. I am looking forward to Locke’s story TOP SHELF. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Delayed Penalty by Teagan Hunter

Delayed Penalty by Teagan Hunter is now live!

I have two goals this season:

1. Prove to the Seattle Serpents I’m not a complete screwup.

2. Stay away from the nanny.

I’m hardly able to keep myself out of trouble, let alone a seven-year-old, but when my estranged brother gets a life sentence, I have no choice but to clean up my act and take the kid in.

It’s all going according to plan…until I’m forced to hire Quinn Benson.

She’s everything I need to avoid—flighty, messy, creating chaos everywhere she goes. But she makes my niece happy, so I hire her anyway, keeping our interactions as brief as possible, even when she moves in with me.

Thing is, the more she’s around, the more I want her around—and not just as a nanny. I can’t seem to stop falling into bed with her even when I know I shouldn’t. Quinn goes against everything I’m trying to accomplish, but I can’t stay away.

This might be one delayed penalty I don’t mind serving…

DELAYED PENALTY is a standalone hockey romance novel. There's a single guardian a bit on the grumpy side, a sunshine nanny who doesn't take any crap from him, an adorable little girl you'll want to hug and keep safe, ridiculous teammates who make way too crude jokes, plenty of steam, and a happy ending.

Delayed Penalty (Seattle Serpents #3) by Teagan Hunter

Delayed Penalty by Teagan Hunter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Teagan Hunter scores with DELAYED PENALTY (Seattle Serpents #3). In this story, Seattle Serpents star Adam Hayes just became the guardian of his seven-year-old niece Flora. He needs a nanny. The only person Flora responds positively to is Quinn Benson, a woman who rubs him wrong.

Teagan Hunter does a great job with this novel. The characters are dynamic and grow throughout the story. Hayes used to play hockey for the Carolina Comets. He did not have the best reputation. He was recently traded to the Serpents and is trying to become more responsible.

Quinn has had trouble keeping a job. Her siblings give her a hard time for being irresponsible. She is amazing at being a nanny. Quinn’s brother Brody plays professional hockey in Tennessee. So, she grew up being a hockey fan.

The three characters are perfect for each other. Flora had a difficult past. Quinn helps bring her out of her shell. Adam and Quinn have a rough start. They have amazing chemistry and fall into bed together. They fight their attraction. I love the fact that as they get to know one another, they defend each other.

This is the first book that I have read by Teagan Hunter. I enjoyed her writing style. I plan on reading her other hockey romances. I look forward to Fox’ story next, EMPTY NET. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
