ANOTHER POWERPLAY (Wildcatters Hockey #6) by Alexa Padgett Review

Another Powerplay by Alexa Padgett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alexa Padgett hits it in the net with ANOTHER POWERPLAY (Wildcatters Hockey #6). Houston Wildcatters Defenseman Lennon Cruz meets the love of his life, oncology nurse Vivian Lee. The couple lose touch and are both miserable without each other. His teammates try to reunite them. I found it amusing that there is a competition between the men and the women to get Vivian and Lennon together.

Alexa Padgett does a nice job with this story. It deals with abandonment issues and trauma. I enjoyed the reuniting service members with their K-9s aspect of the novel. ANOTHER POWERPLAY is a heartfelt and entertaining read. It is an excellent addition to the Wildcatters Hockey series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

In this steamy new adult hockey romance, Naese and Hana must confront their past, their desires, and the undeniable connection that's never faded. Will they overcome the obstacles in their path and find a way back to each other's arms? ANOTHER FACEOFF (Wildcatters Hockey #5) by Alexa Padgett Review

Another Face-off by Alexa Padgett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alexa Padgett lights the lamp with ANOTHER FACEOFF (Wildcatters Hockey #5). NHL wingman Paxton Naese regrets being pressured by his father to break up with his girlfriend Hana Sato. Now three years later, they are reunited, and Paxton wants a second chance. They discover secrets and miscommunications that drove them apart.

Alexa Padgett does a great job with this story. It is skillfully written and thought-provoking. Paxton and Hana are likable characters that deserve another chance. I love that they have known each other since they were in second grade. Hana suffered a horrible injury that causes her to be self-conscious. They have a lot of history. They are both intelligent. I love the NASA aspect of the story. Their families’ involvement in their lives complicates issues for the couple. It is interesting how their lives are interconnected.

ANOTHER FACEOFF is an excellent addition to the Wildcatters Hockey series. I am looking forward to Cruz’s story next. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

ANOTHER GOAL (Wildcatters Hockey #4) by Alexa Padgett Review

Another Goal: A Steamy Hockey Romantic Comedy by Alexa Padgett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alexa Padgett hits it in the net with ANOTHER GOAL (Wildcatters Hockey #4). NHL star winger Luka Stol and chemical engineer Millicent (Millie) Jones have a one-night stand that leaves her pregnant. Luka wants to be there for Millie and their child, but Millie’s past makes it hard for her to trust.

I like Millie and Luka. Both do not have the best families. As they get to know each other, they discover they have more in common than they originally thought. Luka is a good guy and determined to win Millie over. The two face a number of challenges throughout the story. My heart went out to the characters and what they endured.

ANOTHER GOAL is skillfully written and exciting throughout. This is the first book that I have read by Alexa Padgett. I enjoyed her writing style. I now want to read the other books in the Wildcatters Hockey series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
