After an accident, Shea Walker returns home to make peace with her family for the holidays. Upon her arrival, she bumps into her ex-boyfriend and current NHL star J.C. Royce.
I like Shea. I think it is noble that she wants to reconcile with her family.
J.C. is home for the holidays after time off from a concussion. I do not condone his lying to Shea, but I appreciate his reason for it. I like that he is persistent. He is a good guy who gives back to his home town.
Shea and J.C. have great chemistry, despite Shae wanting to deny it. Neither are completely up front with each other, which makes them both very human and believable. I love J.C. Christmas present to Shea. It was very clever.
Joanne Rock created a well-written and heartwarming story that is perfect for the holidays. This was an enjoyable story that was hard to put down.
