My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reading “12 Christmas Romances To Melt Your Heart” is a fantastic way to get you in the mood for the holidays. I really enjoyed this anthology. It introduced me to some new authors, and it contained some stories by some of my preferred authors. My two favorite stories were Mistletoe Misconduct by Catherine Gayle and Hearts On Ice by Jami Davenport, both from series that I follow.

Mistletoe Misconduct (Portland Storm #7.6) by Catherine Gayle (five stars)

I loved hearing Jim’s story! Jim is the GM of the Portland Storm hockey team. He is a great guy who always gives everyone a second chance, because of that some of the players’ wives (headed by Laura – surprise, surprise) decided they wanted to set him up on a date for his Christmas present. As faith would have it, they end up coming in contact with Jim’s ex-wife, Elaine. The two still love each other and get their second chance in this story. The holidays are a time for family and forgiving; therefore, this is a great story for a holiday collection.

Once again, Catherine Gayle creates an emotional and realistic story. Elaine and Jim are both likeable characters that have made mistakes. I enjoyed hearing their story, and I love that they reunite. I adore that Sophie is in this story, and I love what she gives Elaine to help win back Jim. She is such a sweet character. Mistletoe Misconduct is a great addition to the Portland Storm series.

Hearts On Ice (Game On in Seattle #7) by Jami Davenport (five stars)

I loved hearing more about Blake and Sarah. Their original story came out in Love at First Snow (Game On in Seattle, #4). Since then they split up, and Blake Daniels was signed by the Seattle Sockeyes in book 5. At the start of Hearts On Ice, Blake receives a potential career-ending injury. He goes back to Madrona Island for the holidays where he once again sees Sarah.

Jami Davenport created another thoughtful and heartwarming story. These two always seem to stumble upon one another around the holidays. They are a wonderful couple that undergo a lot. I love how this story is resolved.
