The Day Human Prince (The Day Human Trilogy #1) by B. Kristin McMichael Review

The Day Human Prince (Day Human, #1)The Day Human Prince by B. Kristin McMichael
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Day human, Devin Alexander, is magically bound to night human, Vanessa McKinny. In order to break the bond that was put into place to save Devin’s life, they need to travel to the Sidhe village, where day humans are not welcome.

I loved this story. It felt refreshing and original. I happily lost sleep by staying up late to read this book.

When I started reading The Day Human Prince, I didn’t realize this was a spin-off from The Blue Eyes Trilogy. I have not read that series and had no problem following and enjoying this book. What was mentioned, like Devin’s relationship with Arianna Grace, the main character from The Blue Eyes Trilogy, sparked my interest in reading that series.

Devin is a likeable hero. His life is at a crossroad, and he grows throughout this novel. He is a noble character that I enjoyed reading about.

The Day Human Prince had many unexpected twists. The story is well-written and easy to follow. It was full of creative imagery that added greatly to the story.

This is one series I definitely want to continue.
