Ann Marsh's BLUE MOON BRIDES Tour: Interview & Giveaway

TEMPTED BY THE PACK

(Blue Moon Brides, 1)

Once in a blue moon…
For Rafer Breaux, life in the Louisiana Bayou is harsh, violent—and deeply sensual. The Cajun werewolf lives for his Pack and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep his brothers safe. The longer a wolf lives without a mate, the harder it becomes for that wolf to shift back. To remember that he is a man—and not a monster. And those mates can only be found during a blue moon. When a blue moon finally rises, Rafer will need every weapon in his sensual arsenal to tempt one special woman into his arms and the heart of the Pack.

The Pack hunts for mates
Fighting to keep her family farm, Lark Andrews isn’t looking for love. Even if the very sexy Breaux brothers make her dream of hot bayou nights spent in their arms. When the blue moon leads Rafer to her door, however, Rafer has her rethinking her position on all work and no play. Now, the bayou nights are heating up as Rafer fights to convince her, one sensual touch at a time, to give love and passion a chance. But Rafer isn’t a one wolf deal. Is there room in Lark’s heart—and bed—for Rafer and his Pack?

PLEASURED BY THE PACK

(Blue Moon Brides, 2)

Dre and Landry Breaux do everything together. Fishing, fighting—and loving. A whole lot of loving. When the blue moon leads these Cajun werewolves to their fated mate, however, they’re ready to reform. Now, they’ll fight to keep the woman of their dreams safe from the evils lurking in the Louisiana bayou—and to tempt her into taking a chance on two of the bayou’s sexiest bad boys.

Mary Jane Johnson is no heartbreaker. Running from a troubled past, the bayou captain wants only to be left alone. When she takes a pair of bayou bad boys on board, however, Dre and Landry have her rethinking her need for space. These two big males have promised to take orders—all of her orders. Suddenly, she’s dreaming of getting as close as possible… to both of the Breaux brothers.

 CLAIMED BY THE PACK

(Blue Moon Brides, 3)

The rising of the Blue Moon will lead the Pack to their destined mates… but some women are hard to claim.
Alpha to the bone, Cajun shifter Dag Breaux must find his Blue Moon bride to preserve his humanity. Each passing day sees him lost further and further in the shift, more wolf than man. Emotions and feelings are foreign territory for Dag and all he has to offer his newfound female is raw, passionate sex and protection from the centuries-old vampire stalking the Louisiana bayou.

Bayou mechanic Riley Jones stands on her own two feet. Always. She doesn’t need or want Dag’s infuriating brand of protection. Plus, she has secrets of her own that she’s desperate to keep. But there’s no denying the passion that burns between them and in the arms of her rough and tough shifter she discovers a darkly sensuous, no-holds-barred loving. When the vampire threatens Riley’s nearest and dearest, she must ask herself if resisting Dag’s mate claim is worth losing everything she cares about… or if teaching her wolf to love is worth the risk.

Interview:

I would like to welcome and thank Ann Marsh for taking the time to answer the following author interview questions.

What is your favorite part of the Blue Moon Brides Series?

The chases… I love me a good chase, particularly when the heroine knows she’s going to let the hero catch her! The wolf pack chases Lark Andrews in the first Blue Moon book, TEMPTED BY THE PACK, and I enjoyed writing every minute of it. Wolves love to chase, love playing those kinds of catch-me-if-you-can-and-then-what? games and there’s the whole erotic potential of just what happens when the hero does catch up with the heroine (because he always does). My wolves apparently have some very naughty fantasies indeed—and they certainly don’t mind sharing.

What inspired you to write your first book?

I got laid off from my dream job at Pixar. I didn’t really see it coming and, even though it was a business decision on Pixar’s part, it still wasn’t any fun for me. I went home, cried my eyes out, ate an enormous bag of M&Ms and then decided that I could either eat my way into a sugar coma (seriously tempting) or do something that I really wanted to do (which wasn’t gain five pounds in a day). I decided that I’d always wanted to write a romance novel so, while I looked for a new job, I’d do that and readers could tell me to take a hike instead of corporate. Furthermore, I decided I’d write something fun, with all my favorite parts—a rebound book to enjoy the hell out of while I fielded questions from Human Resources about “Where do you see yourself in five years?” and “Why do you want to work for us?” (Because I have a mortgage? And you’re hiring?). The result was THE HUNT, which had lion shifters, a really, really alpha hero butting heads with a kick-ass heroine, some (okay, lots of) kinky sex, and a hot chase scene.

What is your favorite book that you wrote?

Honestly, it’s usually (I’m fickle) whichever book I just finished writing but haven’t yet received edits on. I’m pretty partial to PLEASURED BY THE PACK, however. I loved the dynamic between Dre and Landry Breaux and the woman they both fall in love with. Dre is rough, tough and gruff… Landry is more playful. Mary Jane is a little softer and gentler than some of the other heroines I’ve written and I loved having the chance to pit her quiet strength against my Cajun bad boys.

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?

Sarah McCarty. She writes hot, hot sex, but there is so much emotional and character development going on between the hero and the heroine when she gets the two of them into bed together. Plus, she does wounded alpha males better than anyone—her Shadow Reapers series is absolutely fantastic, as are her anthology collections (RUNNING WILD and WILD INSTINCT). She’s definitely on my auto-buy list.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

I’m currently finishing the Blue Moon Brides series. There will be five books in the series—all dark, sexy Cajun werewolves who are alpha to the core. The first three books are out as you know, and I’m working on the fourth one. I’m also continuing my contemporary Smoke Jumper series, with Rio Donovan’s book in December (BURNS SO BAD) and more books in March (SWEET BURN) and April (SMOKING HOT). Kensington is also releasing the second and third novellas in my Hotshots series (HOT ZONE and FIRED UP in January and February). Finally, I’m editing my first Harlequin Blaze, which is being released in July 2014 as WICKED SEXY (which I was tickled to see they categorized as erotic… oops… doing my part to bring the sexy to Harlequin!). Now that I say all that, I understand why I’m so tired!

What book are you reading now?

Kristan Higgins’ SOMEBODY TO LOVE.  She writes the best sexual tension + closed door sex ever… the chemistry between Parker Welles and James Cahill is fabulous. And who knew a lawyer who starts out as Daddy’s slimy go-to guy is actually the good guy in disguise? I’m used to reading authors who take me right into the bedroom and get fairly explicit, so Higgins has been a fun change for me. The sexual tension just burns up the pages, but then she gently shuts the door on me and—who knew?—it turns out that I’m okay with using my own imagination to fill in the gaps ;)

What do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or ebooks?

Paperback or hardcover—anything print! I think it’s fantastic that there are all these choices and the instant gratification of ebooks are seductive but I’m a paper girl. I like looking at books, touching books, piling them up into precarious book mountains… you name it. I spent years working in libraries and my favorite part of the job was opening the shipments of new books. It was Christmas every day! (particularly since I got to keep the duplicates). Moving men hate me, though, because apparently lugging a hundred boxes of books up and down the stairs isn’t the best part of their job.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

A heartfelt thank you. Writing wouldn’t be the same without having someone to share it with, and I can’t begin to tell all of you how grateful and inspired and tickled I am when someone emails or Facebooks and says: Hey! I read your book and it was just what I needed after a long, crappy work week. Knowing you’re reading and enjoying makes all the difference when it’s four a.m. and I’m staring at the laptop!
