No-strings-attached hook-ups are my jam. After a hockey player hires me to improve his skating skills, sparks fly and a second-night stand sounds like a damn good time. I have zero regrets… …till he ghosts me. Now that I’ve lost my summer gig, I get on with my life, picking up an old side hustle to keep myself afloat. A top-tier viewer makes me an offer I can’t refuse—private, exclusive sessions for an outrageous fee. He’s perfect until he sends me Cole Korhonen’s jersey to wear for him. Meet G.A. Mazurke:

G.A. Mazurke is the crazy lady behind Serena Akeroyd, crafter of smexy heroes you just wanna lick. While Serena has us expecting dark romance with lots of twists and turns … G. A. is her more mainstream/contemporary personality. She explores her sweeter side while keeping the sexy we love, where the women fall hard but the men fall harder. Some of G. Waiting Game (New York Stars #2) by G. A. Mazurke Review

Waiting Game by G.A. Mazurke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

G. A. Mazurke Scores with WAITING GAME (New York Stars #2). Hockey star Cole Korhonen decides to take figure skating lessons from Mia Charles. The two hit it off. However, Cole ends up ghosting her after he discovers who she is.

Cole has recently been traded from the Jersey Blue Demons to the New York Stars. Cole is one of the Bukowskis billet boys from END GAME (New York Stars #1).

Mia Charles became a cam girl to help support her family business, Chuck’s, that is struggling financially. Gracie Bukowski (END GAME) worked at Chuck’s and used to be friends with Mia, until Mia betrayed her. This complicates things for Cole. He is attracted to Mia but Gracie is like a sister to him and his new GM.

WAITING GAME is an entertaining read. The characters from book one, END GAME, are all still included in this story. I love the group texts. I appreciate Cole’s and Mia's love of cats and horses. There is a lot going on in the story and G. A. Mazurke does a great job executing the plot. WAITING GAME is an excellent addition to the New York Stars series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

She’s my lifeline, my rock… When I was billeted with the Bukowskis, I made a mistake. I didn’t lock Gracie Agnieska Bukowski down. Instead, like a 16-year-old idiot, I became best friends with her brother, Kow, and now, the family considers me one of their own. Until her, hockey was my only refuge. So, when I’m traded to the New York Stars, my first move is to change my number to 35. See, we made a vow, one that she might have forgotten, but I haven’t. Gracie’s about to be swept off her feet. I’m going to prove to her that not only is she not my sister… She’s my end game.

End Game by G.A. Mazurke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 ½ of 5 Stars

Liam Donnghal billeted with the Bukowski family in his youth. He was friends with the Bukowski’s only daughter Gracie. Then one day he became best friends with Gracie’s brother, Kow, instead. Years later, Liam and Kow are playing in the NHL together, along with the other Bukowski boys and billets.

Gracie tired of being in the shadows of her brothers, moves from Canada to the United States to go to school and live a life where people do not know who her brothers are.

Liam suffers a tragedy that causes him to have PTSD. The thoughts of Gracie are what hold him together. He accepts a trade to the Newest NHL team the New York Stars knowing Gracie has moved there.

G.A. Mazurke does a great job with this story. It has interesting situations and twists. It is heartwarming, funny, and romantic. Liam is extremely swoon worthy. I liked the glossary at the beginning of the book. I loved all the text conversations.

This is the first book that I have read by G.A. Mazurke. I enjoyed her writing style and plan to continue following the New York Stars series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
