D.S. Wrights was born and raised mostly in Germany. She speaks three languages fluently: English, German and Dutch. Her name is a pen name and she describes writing as her passion and calling. Two short stories were published during high school, one as a school project and one in a regional newsletter. Later she worked at a publishing house where she earned insight into the work, process and production of publishing books. In the last few years she has published several fan fictions to which the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The Beast And Me is her first published novel. D.S. hasn't always written stories like The Beast And Me and she is still writing stories from all kinds of genres that do not have horror aspects or are targeting adults only. Those stories are published with under a different name. So if you like her writing style but not really the genre, you might want to check out her other books, which soon will be published. Her name actually is a play on words and language. D.S. is put together from the initials of her internet name and Wrights simply has the same sound as writes. Before writing she prefers to bring herself in the right mood for the story, listening to specific songs, reading through what she has written before and especially talk about the story with friends and fans. So feel free to write to her.

Howl (Howl #1) by D.S. Wrights, Lilith Dark Review

Howl (Howl, #1)Howl by D.S. Wrights & Lilith Dark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

D.S. Wrights and Lilith Dark created an amazing dark contemporary paranormal fantasy with Howl, the first book in the series of the same name. All Liala (Lia) wanted to do for her twenty-first birthday was go on a camping trip with her brother and father in remembrance her late mother. What she got was a nightmare and undisclosed truths about her heritage. Howl is suitable for mature audiences. The story takes place in Crescent Valley.

I like Lia. The story is told from her point of view. She is a tomboy. She is brave, observant, and loyal. She cares for others above herself. I felt bad that so many people were invited to her birthday celebration which she would have preferred to be a smaller outing with her immediate family. Lia discovers an entirely new world with werewolves and hunters that she did not know existed. She handles herself well considering the traumatic experience she, and the others end up facing.

Howl is a well-crafted story that is on the darker side. It is not for the faint of heart, and some things happen that could have triggering effects on some people. I enjoyed the plot and writing style. The novel felt original and was fast paced. The politics and dynamics of the story are transfixing. There are many unexpected twists and not knowing who can be trusted. I am glad I already have the second book, Hunt, so I can immediately start the story to find out what happens next. This is the first story I have read by the duo; I am thrilled to have discovered them. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

What was supposed to be an extended family camping trip turns horribly wrong.
All Liala wanted for her 21st birthday is to reconnect with her long dead mother at the place her parent's met and they used to visit until her death. Despite an old woman's warning the camp of her extended family and friends is eventually set up at a secluded little piece of paradise... and right in the middle of the local were-wolf pack's territory. Howl is a horror/paranormal/erotica story and contains topics that are not suitable for minors or the fainthearted, such as gore, non-con, and borderline interaction.

Rookie Love by Skye Turner Cover Reveal

Rookie Love
by International Bestselling Author Skye Turner
Coming August 30, 2016

Blurb:

Jase Stevens has a life and career that are heading in one direction… up. His career as the pitcher for the Baton Rouge Gris Gris, the baseball farm team, is garnering him national attention as a major league contract seems to be rapidly approaching. His love life is also not lacking. His devilish good looks and southern charm have women flocking to him both on and off the baseball diamond.

Cally Cooper loves her life and takes pride in the fact that she helps animals that otherwise might be lost due to irresponsible owners and neglect. She runs Love & Paws, a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue center. The animals fill her life with purpose and her heart with love, though lately she finds herself yearning for the love of a good man as well.

After one night of celebration, Jase is arrested and charged with a DUI. Community Service at the Love & Paw’s animal rescue center is part of his sentence.

Neither Cally nor Jase are happy about the situation, but neither have a choice in the matter.

Both have preconceived ideas of what the other is like, but as they spend more time together, a spark of attraction takes them by storm. Will they realize that maybe they misjudged each other?

When two people find something they didn’t know they needed, will they embrace it or run from it?

Are they willing to take a chance on love or will the idea of opening yourself up to something you never expected have them both running from Rookie Love?

***This book is intended for those 18 and older. It contains explicit sex, graphic language, and adult content. Those against those things should NOT read!
