Cali Melle gets a hat trick with book three in the Aston Archers Hockey series MAKE YOUR SAVE. In this story, traveling nurse Hadley Reed finds an abandoned baby belonging to her ex-boyfriend Beau’s older brother, Rowan Taylor. Rowan is a professional hockey goalie for the Aston Archers. Hadley offers to help him with his daughter, Lucy, due to his hockey travel schedule. He asks Hadley to pretend to be his fake fiancée to help him gain custody of Lucy.

Cali Melle does a great job with this story. It is skillfully written and heartwarming. The characters are dimensional and likable. They have great chemistry.

MAKE YOUR SAVE is an excellent addition to the Aston Archers Hockey series. I look forward to book four. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Cali Melle scores with MAKE YOUR MOVE (Aston Archers Hockey #1). NHL star Lincoln Matthews relocates home after being traded to the Aston Archers. He moves in with his best friend and once again teammate Nash Simmons. He did not realize that Nash’s sister, Nova, and her two-year-old daughter, Posy, also live with him. Nova is the girl of his dreams that he cannot have because she is his best friend’s little sister.

Lincoln and Nash are best friends. They played juniors hockey together. He moved away ten years ago when he was traded to the Orchid City Vipers. Nash playing for the Aston Archers. He has always had a crush on Nash’s sister. Before he left, he broke down and kissed Nova but has not seen or talked to her since he was traded. Nova's feelings for Lincoln were reciprocated. She was hurt when she never heard from him but understood why.

Cali Melle does a fantastic job with this story. The characters are dynamic. The story is believable and interesting. I love Lincoln, Nova, and Posy. Posy is adorable. I enjoyed Lincoln’s interaction with her. For someone who was terrified of kids, he is amazing with her. Lincoln’s family upbringing was not great. It makes him question his capabilities in a relationship. They face relevant situations. I am looking forward to Nash’s story next, MAKE YOUR PLAY. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Cali Melle scores with DIRTY PUCKING PLAY (Orchid City #4). In this story, Juliette Anderson moves to Orchid City to be near her family. Her father is the coach of the Orchid City Vipers. She has no interest in hockey players, especially Mac Sullivan, who lives across the hall from her. Mac is intrigued by Juliette, but she is the coach’s daughter and off limits. However, as they get to know each other, it is harder to stay apart.

Cali Melle does a great job with this story. I like Juliette. She played college hockey until an injury cut her career short. She loves hockey and was devastated when she could no longer play. Mac is a good guy. He knows perusing Juliette is career suicide but cannot seem to get enough of her. They are an entertaining couple. Juliette does not make things easy.

DIRTY PUCKING PLAY is an excellent addition to the Orchid City series. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Cali Melle is on a winning streak with book four in the Wyncote Wolves series, THE FACEOFF. Figure skater Eden Finley has sworn off dating hockey
players, but she made a bad decision to have a one-night-stand with Wyncote Wolves hockey star Hayden King. Hayden cannot get Eden out of his head, and he likes a challenge. This story takes place at Wyncote University in Vermont during their senior year.

We met Hayden earlier in the series. He transferred to Wyncote the previous year after an incident with his coach’s daughter. He grew up playing hockey with some of the other guys from the team: August, Logan, and Cam. Eden dated a hockey player who broke her heart her freshman year. She is an amazing figure skater. There is some animosity between the figure skaters and hockey players. The two have some issues going against them. They have amazing chemistry and serious sexual tension.

THE FACEOFF was wonderfully written. The characters are likable and faced interesting challenges. It was the perfect addition to the Wyncote Wolves series. I’m looking forward to Asher’s and Sydney’s story book five, THE GOALIE WHO STOLE CHRISTMAS. What a fun title. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
