Risky Shot (New York Slammers #1) by Heather Lyn Review

Risky Shot (New York Slammers #1)Risky Shot by Heather Lyn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Heather Lyn is off to an amazing start with book one in the New York Slammers series, RISKY SHOT. Star defenseman Asher Bryant is traded from the New Jersey Huskies to the New York Slammers. He is excited to play for his late grandfather’s favorite team. Hockey has always been his focus. He never planned on being attracted to the New York Slammers Captain Knox Cassidy.

I love this story. Asher has had a tough go. He was raised by his grandparents. His grandfather recently passed away. His grandmother and he struggled with the loss. His agent was stealing from him.

Knox is a veteran. He comes from an amazing family. He hasn’t been in a serious relationship since he discovered his high school boyfriend cheating on him.

Knox and Asher become best friends. Both are attracted to each other but clueless that the other feels the same way. The two face some heartbreaking situations. RISKY SHOT had me laughing and crying.

This is the first book that I have read by Heather Lyn. I loved her writing style and plan on continuing to follow the New York Slammers series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
