My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Brenda Rothert lights the lamp with MR. ICE GUY (Sven's Beard #2). Retired NHL player, Holt Sellers, moves back to his hometown Sven’s Beard, Minnesota, with his two kids, Spencer and Marley, after his divorce. He is building a new youth hockey arena with another investor, Keller Strauss.
Head Chef of The Sleepy Moose, Shea Grady, is a workaholic. Shea’s older brother is Sven’s Beard’s police chef, Ryan Grady (I’M SNOW INTO YOU, Sven’s Beard #1). Ryan was friends with Holt since they were kids. Shea had a crush on Holt.
MR. ICE GUY is a heartfelt read. Holt and his kids are staying at The Sleepy Moose while they are waiting for their house to be built. While they are staying there, the four of them get to know each other. The characters are likable. Holt is a good dad. Shea is hardworking. She is great with Holt’s kids. MR. ICE GUY has interesting conflicts and twists. It is a sweet read that is hard to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
