M. J. Fields scores with SNAP SHOT (Taking The Shot #2). Lincoln University hockey star, Evan Smith (Smitty) is in his senior year of college. He needs to focus on having a good year to ensure his spot on the Brooklyn Bears. He is intrigued by the new team photographer, Kameron Kostas. He discovers that she is his coach’s niece. He should stay away from her. The problem is no one has ever made him feel the way she does when he is around her before.
Newly elected Delta sorority president, Kameron Kostas, loves being at Lincoln University. After college, she will have obligations to fulfill. Before that happens, she decides to have a fling with Evan Smith.
I like Evan and Kameron. Evan is the teammate/roommate of Leo (LONG SHOT, Taking The Shot #1). He is a good guy. He is flirty and fun. Kameron has had some bad experiences with people fat shaming her. I love that Evan finds her beautiful the way she is and does not let her starve herself. I was also a photographer who covered hockey games in college, so I appreciated having that in common with Kameron.
SNAP SHOT was well-written. It had some interesting twists. It was an excellent addition to the Taking The Shot series. I am looking forward to Bass’ story next, book three, HOT SHOT. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
