Drake (Pittsburgh Titans, #5) Sawyer Bennet Review

Drake (Pittsburgh Titans #5)Drake by Sawyer Bennett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sawyer Bennet gets a shut-out with DRAKE (Pittsburgh Titans, #5). Pittsburgh Titans team owner Brienne Norcross tries to recruit hockey goalie/single dad Drake McGinn to the team. Negotiations are not easy. Drake felt betrayed by the NHL after they believed false allegations made by his drug-addict ex-wife when he was trying to get sole custody of his three boys. Drake is not Brienne’s usual type, but she cannot deny her attraction to him.

I like Brienne. She is a successful business woman. She took over the team after her brother died in the plane crash in the beginning of the series. She is a workaholic. Drake is a good guy and father. I don’t blame him for feeling betrayed by the NHL. I love that the Titans believe in him and give him an opportunity to play again. Both Drake and Brienne are relationship adverse and need to work on balancing their lives. They face attention-grabbing obstacles.

DRAKE is a heartfelt and entertaining read. It is the perfect addition to the Pittsburgh Titans series. I’m looking forward to Coach Cannon West’s story next. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
