The Rebel (Looking to Score #1) by Kendall Ryan Review

The RebelThe Rebel by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kendall Ryan starts out strong with the first book in the Looking to Score series, THE REBEL. This story begins at Sutton University in Boston. There we are introduced to students, Eden Wynn, Alex Braun, and Holt Rossi. Eden is from a wealthy family. Her father is a former governor whose career ended in scandal. Alex is a hockey player expected to make the NHL. Holt is the mysterious loner whom Eden had some classes with. Eden wants Alex but winds up spending a night with Holt.

Fast forward six years later and their paths cross again. Eden is at present the owner of the Boston Titans NHL team. She and Alex had a very public break-up, and Alex has been traded to her team. To top that off, Holt has been hired as her private security. Needless to say it makes Eden’s transition as the team owner a bit more stressful.

Kendall Ryan does an amazing job with this story. It is engaging from start to finish. There are interesting twists and drama. The characters are well-developed and grow throughout the novel. Fans of Kendall Ryan will not be disappointed. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, THE RIVAL. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
