My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Sawyer Bennett scores with STEELE (Arizona Vengeance, Book #9). In this story James Steele’s and his wife, Ella, separated because she felt he always put hockey and his team before their family. After realizing his mistakes, he sets out to win Ella and his daughter back. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.
STEELE is a great addition to the Arizona Vengeance. We were told of Steele’s separation in the previous book, KANE. In that story, Kane Bellan went with Jim to spy on Ella when she went out on a date. That set him into action to win her back. I like that once Steele got his act together, he was patient and understanding. He realized that he took his family for granted. The story teaches a good lesson in not getting complacent in a relationship. To make sure that your partner knows you appreciate them. I respected that it also pointed out that it does take two in a relationship, and Steele was not the only one to blame.
STEELE was skillfully written. I like how it coincides and includes the characters in the previous books. I recommend this story to people who enjoy second chance sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
