Rachel
L. Schade was born on the first day of summer in a small town in
Michigan, only to end up in another small town in Ohio. She attended
The Ohio State University to learn how to write obnoxiously long
papers, cite people who use big words, and discuss her passion:
books. She has a great love for the color blue, sunshine, chocolate,
and not folding her laundry. Currently she lives with her husband and

Tell us something really interesting that's happened
to you:
I ran a marathon before my 26th birthday.
My best friend and I called it our 26 miles before 26. The whole training
process was an incredible experience, because it helped me appreciate my body
and myself more. I really felt like Wonder Woman when I was out running around
mile 15, feeling like maybe my body could keep going forever. (Spoiler Alert: I
can’t run forever.)
What are some of your pet peeves?
Bad drivers, loud chewing, interrupting me when I’m
reading
Where were you born/grew up at?
I was born in Michigan, but at age 8 moved to Ohio and
proceeded to spend the majority of my life up to this point there. My husband
and I recently relocated to Arizona.
If you knew you'd die tomorrow, how would you spend
your last day?
With loved ones
Who is your hero and why?
My parents, because they were some of the most loving
people I knew, as well as strong, kind, and intelligent.
What do you do to unwind and relax?
Reading, writing (sometimes it’s relaxing!), listening
to music, bookstagramming, and Netflix-ing
