Ice Daddy (Boston Brawlers 2) by June Winters Review

Ice Daddy: A Secret Baby Hockey RomanceIce Daddy: A Secret Baby Hockey Romance by June Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

June Winters lights the lamp with ICE DADDY. Nursing student, Paige McMillan, has a one-night-stand to help get her get over her ex. The encounter leaves her with a daughter. She knows nothing about her baby’s father except his first name, and that he lived in Boston. Until two years later, when she sees him on TV playing for the Boston Brawlers, NHL star Lance Couture. This sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

ICE DADDY is a cute story. The characters are likable, and the story is credible. June Winters does an admirable job describing events and why they happened throughout the novel; like the situation with Lance’s ex-girlfriend and how it affected Paige and Lance. I appreciated that Paige’s daughter, Irie, loves hockey, and the way she first sees her father. ICE DADDY is an enjoyable and entertaining read. It flowed well, holding my attention throughout the story. The story was clever and heartfelt. I would recommend ICE DADDY to lovers of sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
