LOVING HARD is the second book in Lisa B. Kamps’ The Chesapeake Blades series. This second-chance romance is about Blade's hockey player Samantha (Sammie) Reigler and her ex-husband, Jonathan Reigler. While fighting overseas in the military, Jonathan couldn’t cope with the lives he had to take, not feeling worthy of his family. As a result, he sent Sammie divorce papers with no explanation. Now two years and eight months later, Jonathan, has come home with hopes of getting Sammie and their child back.

LOVING HARD is a heartwarming and believable story. The characters are likeable and well developed. Both main characters have good friends who care about their well-being. I enjoyed this story and like that the couple had an opportunity to resolve their relationship. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
