Coach's Challenge (Cayuga Cougars #3) by V. L. Locey Review

Coach's Challenge (Cayuga Cougars, #3)Coach's Challenge by V.L. Locey
My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

COACH'S CHALLENGE is the third book in V. L. Locey’s Cayuga Cougars series and a spin-off from her Point Shot series. I have not read the first two books in the Cayuga Cougars series, but I have read all the books in the Point Shot series, which is about the main characters in this story. COACH'S CHALLENGE takes place following Point Shot. Victor Kalinski and Dan Arou have been married for a couple of years. Dan is still playing on the Cayuga Cougars hockey team, whereas Victor is coaching. Everything seems to be going great until Dan’s ex, Sander March, is traded to the team.

I love Victor. He has mellowed out a lot since becoming involved with Dan. He has become less cynical. It is understandable why he would be upset about never knowing about Sander. Dan really should have mentioned him at some point. Victor’s past still haunts him. He has a hard time believing people won’t leave him. The boys have some interesting obstacles to overcome in this story. COACH'S CHALLENGE was skillfully written and well executed. I’m interested in reading Sander March’s story, OVERTIME, the next book in the Cayuga Cougars series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
