Ashes of War by Lia Davis
My rating: 3.5 of 5 Stars
Ashlynn Blake, minor goddess of the hunt, has been tasked with judging accused dragon shifter, Ty Sullivan, with his supposed crimes. Feeling he is blameless she needs to prove his innocence to the gods.
I enjoyed Ashlynn. I like that she is the daughter of Artemis, having a connection with animals and the hunt. I appreciated that she went above and beyond to find out the truth.
Ty has been through a lot, making it hard for him to trust. He is a strong man for surviving being tortured. He is a worthy hero whom a truly enjoyed.
The plot was mysterious and action packed. It had numerous twists keeping me engaged. It was interesting and fast paced. Ashes of War is a clever story that is a quick pleasurable read.
