The journey continues:
Kay had discovered secrets, lies, shocking truths, and even love in a strange new world hidden from humans. Everything she thought she knew was turned upside down when she found out three things:
- She wasn’t human.
- She has a power she can’t control.
- And there was a possibility that she had found a way to cure the cancer that was rapidly killing her with that very same power.
Then, just when she was on the precipice of gaining everything she wanted and saving her own life, tragedy struck. Will she be able to fight her way back to Ryan and save herself in the process?
Kira had lived a terrifying and confusing life of servitude and abuse under Lord Donovan and his son, Cole. It was an existence that had stripped away her emotions, and eventually, her reason to keep fighting. Just when she thought freedom was within reach, Lord Donovan struck again, ruining her plans and almost killing her in the process. When she awoke from her injuries, it was to stunning revelations that would change her life forever. Changes that she was not entirely sure she wanted to embrace.
Persistent individuals such as Prince Kane refuse to let her walk away, though. Will she embrace all of the sudden fortune in her life? Or will she walk away from those who need her most, forsaking their acceptance and love?

Jessie Lane Author Picture
Crystal and Melissa often live half their lives with their heads in the clouds dreaming of alpha military hunks, werewolves and kick ass heroines crazy enough to chase after creatures that they unquestionably should know better than to chase.

They are now working on their next two novels, Walk On The Striped Side and Secret Maneuvers. With these projects underway, they are looking forward to showing the rest of the world their crazy stories, heroes and heroines that often plague their minds until written, and hope you will join them on their journey!

Interview:

I would like to welcome Melissa co-author of The Frozen Star.

Hi everyone! It’s Melissa from the Jessie Lane duo, and today I’ve stopped by Diane’s Book Blog for a chat. HI Diane! Thanks for having me.

What is your favorite part of the story, The Frozen Star?

It would have to be the scene where Kane shares with Kira something he has never shared with anyone. It’s a bit of a spoiler, so I won’t tell you what he showed her, but I will give you a hint. It’s a very intimate thing among the fae.

If you could be best friends with one of your characters, who would it be?

It’s a tie between Kira and Skye. I’m always willing to jump into a good fight and protect those around me so, I guess who ever I could count on to have my back.

What is your typical day like?

I have one of the most messed up schedules of anyone I know. I work overnights so I sleep during the day and write all night until the sun comes up. When Crystal’s eating her dinner I’m groggily staring at the coffee pot trying to see if my Jedi powers have kicked in. *they still haven’t yet, but I’m not a quitter.*

How do you overcome writer’s block?

Most of the time I talk to my husband about the scene and where I need to go with it and I always ask his opinion. Most of the time he gives me off the wall answers that have me laughing so hard I spit my drink out everywhere. He helps me to look at it in a different light. Sometimes just taking a break to read someone else’s work helps a lot too.

What book are you reading now?

I just got done reading Surviving Love by my friend M.S. Brannon and because Crystal has drilled into me that I have to read the Black Dagger Brotherhood books by J.R. Ward. So I’m starting on Dark Lover.

What do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or ebooks?

Depends on the book and the author. If it’s one of my absolute faves, then it has to been hardcover. But I love eBooks. I have so many one-clicks that I need to read.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers

To all the Jessie Lane fans out there, thanks for being the best. You guys rock!
Before I go I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to Diane for letting me stop by and chat today. I hope you all will check out Jessie Lane’s latest release, The Frozen Star, from our YA/NA Paranormal Romance & Fantasy series! Happy Reading!
