Chalice and her friends continue their journey to stop Dar’Maalda from controlling Realm. Faced with war, Chalice prepares with the help from her allies. She questions the meaning of her prophecy; wondering whether she will succeed in recovering her father and if she survives.

I respect Chalice’s character. She proves to be a wise leader. She is brave and selfless, not to mention stubborn to a fault. I also like how Jeremiah balances her.

I found it attractive that the series seems to take place long ago, but in reality, it is a future or alternate Earth.

The Return is well-written and thought out. Melissa Douthit did a wonderful job bringing the series together, utilizing topics mentioned throughout the trilogy. The Raie'Chaelia Series is well worth the read.
