Days Gone Bad by Eric R. Asher
My rating: 3 1/2 of 5 starts
Damian Valdis Vesik leads an unusual life. He is the owner of a magic shop called Death’s Door (aka Double D or DD) in St Charles, Missouri. Fairies live in a clock in his establishment, which is also guarded by two cu siths. His sister is a vampire. Oh and by the way, he’s a Necromancer.
There is a demon in town that he needs to annihilate. If that isn’t enough he has to attend the wedding of his ex-girlfriend. One of my favorite parts of this novel is Vesik’s wedding commentary. It will definitely get you laughing.
Vesik and his friends have a great sense of humor; which is probably good in their line of work. Asher does a considerable job portraying his characters. Days Gone Bad is an excellent start with the Vesik series.
