Ruth Stilling lights the lamp with TOTAL SHUTDOWN (The Blade Kings #2). In this story, Blade’s Captain/single dad Sawyer Bryce is determined to win over Harley mechanic Collins Mackenzie. However, Mackenzie doesn’t do relationships or stay in one place long.

Ruth Stilling does a great job with this novel. The characters are genuine and likeable, and the plot is believable and engaging. I love the relationship Collins develops with Sawyer and his son, Ezra. The characters grow throughout the story.

TOTAL SHUTDOWN is an excellent addition to The Blade Kings series. I am looking forward to Archer’s story next, SHOTS FIRED. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
