From Pink Pucks & Power Plays - To Love a Wildcat #1
I left the flakes on the floor to answer my door. Vacuuming up fish flakes would have been much more settling for my nerves. Alain Lessard stood on my welcome mat looking like a million and half bucks. The man was working the casual chic look for all it was worth. His jacket was black and clearly YSL. He had tossed the sharp, black jacket over a crisp, white, button-down shirt. The sleeves and neck were unbuttoned. He wore black khakis, softly buffed black, leather boots, and a flash of a gold watch on his left wrist. His hair was damp, his cheeks freshly shaved, and his smile dazzling.
“I am not too late, am I?” he asked when I stood in the doorway like a buffoon. I gently shook my head and moved aside. “Bon!” He hesitated as if unsure until I waved him in. Perhaps my lack of speech was throwing him off. My brain came up with something and then he passed by me, close enough to scrub his arm across my left breast. My nipple stiffened instantly. His cologne was alluring and dark. I inhaled the manly aroma deeply. I adore a man who knows what kind of scent to wear and how much. Closing the door gently, I gathered my scattered wits, blew away the thick mist of desire with a long exhalation through pursed lips then spun around to face my date. He was standing in the middle of my living room, smiling widely as he peered into my kitchen.
“If you’re looking for dinner, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed. Someone told me we were going out tonight?” I walked to the sofa to pick up the black shawl I had chosen.
“I have never seen such a purple kitchen. It is very you, Viviana,” Alain said, coming over to lift the dainty bit of shimmering material from my fingers. I turned. He draped, making sure that the back of his fingers skimmed both sides of my neck. Something hot began to uncurl like a cat waking from a nap deep within me. “And yes,” he whispered beside my ear, “We have reservations that we will miss if I do not step away from you and stop admiring your lovely perfume. It is some sort of tropical flower, yes?”
“Yes,” I responded as his warm breath tickled my ear. “It’s called Plumeria Blossom and it’s imported from Hawaii.”
“It’s very pretty. Have you ever been to Hawaii?” he asked, stepping away from me, sadly. His warmth back there was rather nice.

EXCERPT

The liquor had been flowing freely all night long. Troy and Noah made sure they drank their fill before stumbling back to their hotel room. Noah had always sworn that if he landed a pro contract, they’d spend the weekend partying in Vegas. Staying true to his word, four hours after signing with the New Orleans Blue Fires, he’d booked two roundtrip tickets for Troy and himself.
For two days now, they’d done everything two single men in their early twenties were expected to do in a place that promised to keep their secrets. Tomorrow, they’d head back to Phoenix. The day after that, Noah would board a seven a.m. flight to New Orleans—his new home. It had been a bittersweet weekend.
A wave of sadness washed over Noah as he fell across the hotel bed next to Troy. They’d been best friends for as far back as Noah could remember. For the first time in his life, he would start a new adventure without Troy by his side.
“I can’t believe, even after learning you’re a famous hockey player, none of those bitches wanted to leave with us.”
Noah snorted at Troy’s claim. “If you have to explain to people that I’m famous, they’re not likely to believe you.”
He felt more than saw Troy shrug.
“Still. It would’ve been nice if at least one would’ve taken the bait.”
A bark of laughter escaped Noah. “What’s the matter, dude? Are you working on a set of blue balls after all the strippers?” As if they’d planned it, they both turned their heads at the same time. Troy’s bottle green eyes shined with mirth.
Noah’s mouth went dry at the sight. He tried chalking it up to the alcohol. After all, the liquid warming his skin already had the room spinning and kept loosening his tongue. “You can jerk one out if you’d like. No judgments here. Hell, I might join you.”
Troy’s mouth turned up in one corner into a mocking smile, but his eyes told a different story. While holding Noah’s gaze, Troy slid his zipper down. It sounded unnaturally loud in the otherwise silent room. Noah’s heart rate kicked up. Blood pounded in his ears. It took everything he possessed not to drop his gaze and check out the goods. If Vegas really was the town of secrets, then they were in the right place. Troy was Noah’s deepest, darkest secret, and biggest fantasy.

Excerpts
Maggie “Don’t dis Granny Andersson,” he commented with a rather wry tone.
“You’re far too old to be using the term dis, my good man.”
“Yah? Well, last night you weren’t dissing me,” he countered quickly. I held up my hairbrush in a sign of defeat. He was right. There was no dissing last night. There was some moaning, gyrating, and pillow thumping, but nary a dis. “Ha! That got you good, eh?”
I nodded to give the man his due. His face split into a wide grin, white teeth brilliant against the dark brown of his beard.
“Yah, that’s right. Who is the man?” he asked, puffing out his chest like a proud bantam rooster.
Cocky bugger.
“You are.” I sighed with proper defeatism in my tone.
He dropped his face to my neck, smooched my ear loudly, and then whistled gleefully while he finished shaving. I cleaned shaving cream out of my ear with the corner of a hand towel. Ever since we moved in with Derrick, my mornings have been so much more enjoyable. We wake up curled around each other, we play as we shower.
Sometimes we play in the shower! The man makes me smile. He warms my heart when I awaken more than the sun that creeps into our window bright and early. I simply cannot imagine not having these precious few moments every morning now. After he had stepped into the shower, I thought to ask. Mascara wand in my right hand I turned to stare at his large form behind smoked glass. The query was lingering on the tip of my tongue. I swallowed it down. I’d let him broach the subject of his retirement ceremony tonight. Things with the team were dicey to say the least. Not a player or person in management wasn’t walking on eggshells. I turned back to the mirror to finish my makeup as Derrick hummed something by Blake Shelton as he lathered and rinsed.
We emerged from our room about twenty minutes later, Derrick in the suit and tie all NHL players and staff are required to wear into and leaving the stadium. His tie was loose yet, and his dark brown jacket lay over his left arm. I had pulled on a rather somber looking navy dress, as I would be accompanying Isabelle to court yet again. Just thinking about my duties made me nervous. There was so much to handle being the personal assistant to a woman that owns a hockey team, as well as several other multimillion-dollar businesses. Thank God I was only tasked with making sure Isabelle’s day ran like clockwork. My boss worried me. Her blood pressure was skyrocketing, her sugar count was high, and her OB/GYN had given her strict dietary guidelines to follow. I feared if she went back next Monday at nine, and her BP and sugar weren’t any lower, her doctor would be forced to put her on strict bed rest until her son was born. Knowing Isabelle that would last exactly four hours. Then she would be up doing something. What if Philip were found guilty? She would be forced to fire him. The Commissioner was already riding her like Secretariat about the Wildcats. First Petro and now Philip. And this mess surrounding last year's Stanley Cup winners? The commissioner was not happy. Not at all.
“Hey, you need to put them there grinds into the filter and not the pot, Mags.”
I shook off the spiraling dark thoughts. There I stood, in my kitchen, the coffee pot filled with coffee, and the filter resting inside the basket empty.

Al Trunk Mahoney - Cover

BLURB

When his wife walked out on him, Al “Trunk” Mahoney’s plans for the family he’d never had went up in smoke. A top-ranked defenseman in the NFL, Trunk’s success on the gridiron didn’t translate to the rest of his life. Hooking up with women was easy for the sexy lineman, but Trunk’s secret closed the door to marriage. Would the happiness he yearned for always be just beyond his reach?
Beautiful Carla Ricci, bar owner and independent woman had her choice of men. A love-‘em and leave-‘em lady, she’d made a decision that ruled out 99.9% of men for marriage. She didn’t care. Then Trunk Mahoney came along. Carla resolved to remain true to herself. Could her willpower hold indefinitely, or would she settle for an affair that would break her heart?

EXCERPT

Teaser 3
Carla hoped Trunk hadn’t noticed the flush she’d sensed in her face when he said he’d move in. Thankfully, new customers arrived, giving her the chance to escape. She made her way to the three tables, took their orders, and scurried back to the kitchen to slap burgers on the grill.
The heat from the cooking food was nothing compared to the heat in her body from Trunk’s news. He was like a magnet, drawing her to him for the past two years. The way his shirt pulled over his wide shoulders, his lean waist, powerful biceps, and what she guessed were tight abs, invaded her dreams at night. Of course, he had a cute butt, which she tried not to notice. A couple of times he’d caught her checking him out. She always had a snappy retort that made him laugh. But she saw the lusty light in his eyes, and it made her shiver.
She remembered the first day he’d come in. She’d been joking with Griff Montgomery that he never brought his good-looking teammates in for a beer. Then, Trunk Mahoney had walked through the door, and Carla hadn’t been able to speak. Her mouth had gotten dry while other parts had gotten damp. His powerful body, barely concealed in tight jeans and T-shirt, coupled with his confident swagger, had made her knees weak.
He’d flashed a sexy grin and raked her body with a smoldering gaze from beautiful, light blue eyes. If he had ripped the clothing from her, she couldn’t have felt more naked.
Trunk Mahoney was sex on wheels, and she’d wanted him, until she’d checked out his left hand. There it had been, the colossal mood killer—his wedding ring. So, Carla had locked up her feelings and swallowed the key. Her ‘no touch’ policy applied to all married men, no matter how attractive they were. And that included Al Mahoney.

SNIPPETS

Teaser 1
In the locker room, Trunk noticed Griff slapping something on his face.
“You’re married. Still use that stuff?”
“Drives Lauren wild. Not that she’s in any condition to be wild, right now,” Griff said, chuckling. “But she likes it, so I use it.”
“What’s it called?”
“Midnight for Men. Now that you’re single again, better get used to using this shit. Women love it. Try it.” He passed it to Al.
Trunk finished shaving, wiped the shaving cream remnants from his face, and opened the bottle. He took a whiff. “Nice. Okay. I’ll give it a shot.”
“Just stay away from my wife, will ya?”
**********
Orphaned at thirteen, he had turned to football to deal with his anger at his parents’ death. Shuffled from one relative to the next, he had learned to stomach insecurity. He had succeeded at the sport, making a name for himself in every town he called home at one time or another. Being a football star meant a big welcome from each new school he’d attended.
Having nothing, Al had gone to work young, doing odd jobs—raking leaves, mowing lawns, running errands. Sports had anchored him. His coaches had helped him stay on a good path, avoiding drugs and crime. Being a hero fed his heart, but he never outgrew the yearning for someone to care about him. He thought he’d found it in Mary, but he had been wrong.

Blood spurted everywhere. Kate squealed as it hit her face and dripped onto her chest, arms, and hands. It ruined her dress, but she had no time to think about that now. His eyes had turned a dark silver colour, almost like sparkling granite.
“You shouldn’t have done that, Kate.” His voice was a deep growl, and his teeth were covered in blood—his fangs still visible as he grinned wolfishly at her. Lachlan placed the half full bag into an empty coffee mug and surveyed the damage. “I’m a Vampyr. You know I can’t just let you wash blood down the drain. It’s almost sacrilegious.”
He lifted the hand which she had used to squeeze the bag and surveyed it, licking his lips before he sucked her index finger slowly into his mouth. She held her breath as the sensation pulled at her core. His rough tongue worked around the digit, and his eyes sparked with pleasure before he closed them and moaned. She squirmed on her seat atop his lap. When he opened his mouth extending his tongue between her other fingers and licking, her breath hitched.
“Lachlan.” Her voice was just a whisper.
The Vampyr pulled her finger out of his mouth and stroked his tongue up a large dark red globule which ran from her ring finger almost to her wrist.
“Delicious.”

AUTHOR BIO

Hi! I'm a New York Times Bestselling author from the Midwestern United States. I'm an avid reader of anything romance! I've worked as a travel agent, nursing assistant, and a paralegal before chasing my dream of full-time writing. I love to travel, swim, cook, and I'm more than a little addicted to a certain social media website...
Currently, I write paranormal and science-fiction romance. My plan is to branch out in several romance sub-genres, but my books will always end in the infamous happily ever after.
Always hot, always sexy, my male characters will protect their women at all costs, and my female characters will be... I like to call it "feisty." I believe every story and character should be unique, and it’s something I always strive to do.
Reading should be an escape from everyday life, so I hope you enjoy my version of a vacation for you!
Fun facts about me: 1. I love birds! I have one (a parakeet). 2. I’m double-jointed, which led to teasing as a kid (which I also found funny)! 3. I have a shoe addiction! Mainly embellished flip-flops, but other kinds too (not heels, I’d break my ankles). 4. I missed a college 4.0 GPA in the very last semester when one professor gave me a B (still upset about that!)! 5. I am very OCD about certain things (see #6). 6. I have an extensive DVD/Blu-ray collection and it has to be kept in alphabetical order! 7. My favorite vacations involve a cruise. I’ve been on 15 so far! 8. I’m quiet and sort of shy until I get to know a person. 9. I’m quick witted and believe sarcasm is my best friend. 10. I hate hot weather.

 EXCERPT

“I hate to be termed over-reactionary or whiny bitch,” I opened with. The man crammed into a seat two sizes too small for him mumbled something unintelligible across the thin aisle. “And far be it for me to complain, but I think the left wing is about to fall off.”
Within a heartbeat Moore was out of his seat and leaning across me. My nose was burrowed into his shirt pocket. That brisk seafaring scent he wore wrapped its arms around my olfactory to hug my sense of smell tightly. I drew in a deep breath, held it, tasted the tang of cologne and man, then exhaled through my mouth. Philip shifted a bit.
“Sorry,” he murmured, his bulk sliding downward a bit, so that his stomach rested on the rickety arm of my mouse-chewed seat. “I think it’s just the bounce of the plane over the turbulence,” he announced after a long, and not unpleasant, moment of his abdomen brushing my breasts. When I made a weak sound of hope in reply, he glanced from the window to me, a small twist of a smile playing on his lips. The impact of our positions hit me like a cinderblock to the head. His mouth was mere inches from mine now. I could see him swallow roughly. His jaw and neck were dark with new whiskers. I wanted to feel the rasp of his stubble on my neck, breasts, and inside my thighs. I wanted. Oh, hell yes, I wanted.
The blue of his irises darkened as I studied my reflection in his eyes. Was it desire I saw, or something else profound and powerful? Love and hate share lots of secrets, being such close friends as they are. The plane hit a ball of violent air. My head coach nearly went to his knees in front of me. My fingers dug even deeper into the arms of my seat. Philip gathered himself quickly, wiggling from the space between my knees and the crummy seat in front of me.
“Sorry,” he coughed, hurrying back to his own seat. I nodded, neck tight, spine stiff, heart hammering, and thighs twitching. “You remind me of Christine,” he said out of the blue. I managed to make my head creak around to look at him. The man was in control once again. Wish I could be so quick to move from one frightening thing to another. Shit, I was still freaking out about the way my body responded to his. “She didn’t mind flying until we hit turbulence,” he explained, wistfully.
“Every time we would run into a rough patch, her eyes would grow bigger.” He paused to find me looking at him. “She had these wide eyes anyway, so she always looked surprised,” he clarified. I nodded, knowing how important talking about our lost ones is.
“Anyway, when she would feel the slightest jounce up she would go, eyes as big as basketballs, and into the ladies’ room she would dash. Once, on a flight down to Florida to see our youngest son Drew when he was in college, Christine spent the entire flight in the bathroom.” He chuckled in amusement. The sound was incredibly pleasing. My anxiety lessened a bit. “I used to tease her about the well-known safety features of a ladies’ powder room during a plane crash. Sometimes our fears get the best of us, though. She knew she was just as screwed as everyone else on that plane, but something about that cramped little girls’ room made her feel less vulnerable, I suppose.”
“Colton used to say ‘There ain’t no point in fretting about dying. If the good Lord says it’s your time, then it’s your time, darling!” I tossed out in my best Texan accent. Philip laughed uneasily.
“That sounds like Colton,” he said, running his palms over his thighs briskly. I wanted to ask him how he had dealt with his wife’s death. I knew she had passed a few years back from cancer, leaving him and their two grown sons to carry on. “He was a good man. He’s sorely missed.”

BOOK SYNOPSIS

This feisty cowgirl can’t be tamed—at least not by one man.
Barrel-racer Bella Roberts is winning every competition she enters. She’s at the top of her game and has her sights set on the rodeo finals. So why should she slow down long enough to glance at the cowboys tripping over themselves to get to her? If you’ve had one rodeo guy, you’ve had ‘em all. Besides, she’s determined to live up to her reputation, and bad girls don’t settle down.
The feisty Bella has been giving Carter blue balls since he’d walked into an arena and clapped eyes on her. There’s nothing sexier than a woman who handles a horse with such grace and skill, and her feminine guiles are definitely working on him. He’s been trying to sweet-talk Bella into his hotel room for weeks but can’t land more than a kiss.
Quint knows exactly what Carter’s up to. It’s totally obvious his friend is putting himself in Bella Roberts’ path. But Carter won’t get anywhere because Quint already has. And after that first hot-as-sin kiss, all he can think of is the sultry cowgirl. She won’t let him any closer, but her sassy mouth and brazen attitude just need a firm hand. Good thing he has two—and a lot of rope.
Bella’s in a sticky situation in the middle of team roping partners Carter and Quint. And now that they know she’s been toying with both, they share the same goals in and out of the arena—to have her. Together. Oh, she’ll let them try, all right. But don’t they realize she can’t be bridled?

BOOK SYNOPSIS

Healing a Shifter Cover

Living a life of bitter seclusion, Griffin Tago is a mentally and physically broken puma-shifter who finds himself suddenly alone and without a family.

Daniela “Dani” Celinho had a happy childhood in her family of shifters, until a deliberate act against her as a teenager leaves her with a limp, and unable to continue competing as a swimmer. Later on, after her father is murdered, her mother and sister both fall apart. Dani decides to make a life for herself, in a little town called Pepper Valley, Colorado.

One day, Griffin’s best friend talks him into having a beer at his sworn enemy’s place, Great Scott’s Bar & Grill. After a short run-in with “Great Scott” himself, Griffin’s friend distracts him by pointing out a brunette beauty standing at the jukebox. One look at her takes Griffin’s breath away.

Dani looks past the wheelchair and sees the strong handsome man with long dark hair and black tattoos. Their physical desire leads to a quick mating.
Can Dani heal not only Griffin’s body, but his soul as well?

Healing a Shifter Teaser 2

EXCERPT

“Who says I’m moving in?” Dani came out of the bedroom wearing Griffin’s Rolling Stones t-shirt, her hair in a ponytail, still somehow managing to look like a seductive siren any red-blooded heterosexual captain would gladly steer his ship into rocks for.
“I say you’re moving in,” Griffin shrugged. “Want a donut, mate?” he grabbed the bag from Brody and held it out to her.
“Yes, I want a donut!” she exclaimed, peering into the bag. She grabbed a plain glazed one. “And don’t you try ordering me around, Griffin Tago,” she snapped with a grin. “I will live where I want to, when I want to!”
Brody’s mouth dropped open in surprise, and he noticed his old pal getting that look of his, the one that said there was going to be a big fight if she didn’t get with the program. “I just remembered I need to... umm...” He stood up, having no idea what to make up, and positive that neither would notice him walking out at this point. Are all shifter female mates this unyielding? No wonder I only date humans. He excused himself and headed toward... anywhere but here.
“Woman...”
“Yes, I’m female,” Dani interrupted, “but you better stop calling me ‘woman’ all the time. No ‘woman’, no ‘mate’... and you can just drop whatever you were going to say.”

AUTHOR BIO
