What are the Ten Reasons You Read Your Fave Genre?


Answer:

First of all, that means I have to pick a favorite genre.  I'm pretty tied between PNR and sports romances: specifically, shapeshifter romances and hockey romances.  When I find an occasional PNR with shifters that play hockey - I'm in heaven.  Since we are in the heart of the hockey season I'm gonna go with hockey romances.



Ten (11) Reasons I love Hockey Romances (in no particular order)

1. I have always loved hockey.  It is a great sport that is fast moving and takes a lot of skill.  
2. Hockey players typically have great relationships with their teammates.  They form friendships that last a lifetime.
3. Hockey players value teamwork, which is something every relationship needs. 
4. Hockey players are motivated.
5. Hockey players are hot.
6. Hockey players are tough, very frequently playing hurt.
7. Hockey has great lingo: i.e beauty, celly, hat trick.  CLICK HERE to find out how to talk like a hockey player.
8. Hockey players have great traditions and superstitions. 
9. Hockey players have a great sense of humor and are funny.  
10. Hockey Players are Nice Guys.  They might be tough on the ice, but there are millions of stories of all the sweet things they do off the ice, especially when it comes to kids.
11. Hockey players are open-minded and care about equality.  Did you know that the NHL has at least one player from every team who has openly spoken on behalf of  the You Can Play effort?

I have many furry friends.  I'll list them by age.

My oldest is our seven year old tabby cat, Tigger, named after named after A.A. Milne’s character.

Next is our three year old Siberian Husky, McKinley.

Our three year old cat White Sox.

McKinley and White Sox share the same birthday.  Here is a baby picture:

Next are our one year old ferrets, brother and sister, Kane and Towes.  Named after the Chicago Blackhawks players.

Can you see the resemblance?

They are all cute....

Here they are depicted with the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy, which Kane won in 2013 and Toews in 2010.  

They are extremely talented little critters and very entertaining.  

All the pets get along with each other.

Answer:

All the time.  It usually depends on my mood and how much time I have at the moment.  For example, if I only have about an hour to read I might pick up a short story that I can most likely complete in that time.

I don't really think of Playlist when I read a book.  The only time I ever recall having a song associated with a novel, was a few years ago, when I was reading "Drink Deep" (Chicagoland Vampires #5) by Chloe Neill.  I thought of P!nk's Perfect.
