Erin Marie Bassett lights the lamp with UNMASKING LOVE (D.C. Renegades #1). NHL backup goalie Aiden Youngren is traded to the eighth team in five years. His new team is the D.C. Renegades. D.C. Real estate agent Harper Daniels has not had success in the boyfriend department. She has had eleven breakups in the last five years. As a result, both find it difficult to form attachments with people. After Aiden witnesses another of Harper’s breakups, they form a friendship, and they begin to trust each other. However, they have some miscommunications along the way.
This is the first book that I have read by Erin Marie Bassett. I enjoyed her writing style. UNMASKING LOVE is a heartfelt and entertaining read. It is an excellent start to the D.C. Renegades series. I am looking forward to Bryson’s story next, book two, UNRIVALED LOVE. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
