PLAYOFF (L.A. Phantoms #4) by Kat Mizera Review

Playoff (L.A. Phantoms Book 4)Playoff by Kat Mizera
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kat Mizera lights the lamp with PLAYOFF (L.A. Phantoms #4). L.A. Phantoms physical therapist Rowan Taylor joined the team on their trip to Alaska. The team bus is in an accident on the way to their game. She acts fast and helps the injured team members, including her boss, the head trainer.

Blake Rourke is called up from the Phantoms AHL team the Phoenix Rebels. This is his last chance to prove himself and try to make it in the NHL. His only other regret is letting go of his first true love, his high school sweetheart, Rowan.

Rowen and Blake have not seen each other in nine years. They are still attracted to one another. However, there is a no fraternization policy, and they wonder if being together is worth the risk.

Kat Mizera does a great job with this story. The characters are likable and dimensional. They grow throughout the story. I am glad these two get a second chance. It is an excellent addition to L.A. Phantoms series. I look forward to Marty’s and Stevie’s story, PLAY DIRTY. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
