Lauren Blakely gets a hat trick with book three in the Love and Hockey series, THE PROPOSAL PLAY.
Maeve Hartley wins her best friend Sea Dogs star Asher Callahan in a bachelor action to save him from a conniving bidder. They go to Las Vegas on their date. Maeve and Asher made a wedding pack two years prior, at Maeve’s brother Beckett’s wedding. As a result, they decide to get married in Vegas, planning on getting annulled.
Several events cause the two to pretend they are an actual couple. Along the way, they both grow and discover things about themselves. They also question their actual feelings for the other.
Lauren Blakely does a great job with this story. The characters are likeable and dimensional. There are many heartfelt and feel-good moments in the story. THE PROPOSAL PLAY is the perfect addition to the Love and Hockey series. I am looking forward to book four, THE GIRLFRIEND ZONE. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
