Kara Kendrick lights the lamp with MY ONE AND GOALIE (Return to Starlight Bay). Hockey bad boy Xander Kovac is sent to Starlight Bay to coach a kids hockey team to clean up his image. There he meets single mom Rachel Allen and her five-year-old son, Jett. He feels an instant connection and wants to protect them.
Kara Kendrick does a nice job with this story. It is skillfully written and heartfelt. The characters were dimensional and likeable. They grew throughout the story.
This is the first book that I have read by Kara Kendrick. I enjoyed her writing style and would read more books by her again in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
