Elise Faber gets a hat trick with book three in the Sierra Hockey series, THE BIG SKATE. This is Knox Adler’s and Ivy Pierce’s story. Knox is a player on the Sierra. He is the brother of Ella (CAUGHT FROM BEHIND, Sierra Hockey #2). Ivy is a strength coach for the Sierra. She is a single mother of a daughter Evie. These characters were in the previous books.
THE BIG SKATE is a heartfelt and entertaining read. I love how the characters interact with each other. I found it clever that Ivy and Evie faced similar situations at school/work. I appreciate how protective Knox is of Ivy and Evie.
I am an animal lover, so I adore that Knox rescues a puppy and named it Winter. Then Ivy and Evie rescue cute kitten, Snowball.
THE BIG SKATE is an excellent addition to the Sierra Hockey series. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
