Piper Rayne gets a win with book two in the Nest series, MR. BROODY. In this story, Chicago Falcons right winger/single dad Henry Hensley is reunited with the love of his life, Jade Keebler, when she becomes his adopted son, Bodhi’s temporary substitute teacher.

Henry and Jade have an interesting past. They met as children when Henry's Big Brother married Jade’s mother. Their careers took them on different paths, and neither has ever gotten over the other.

We met Henry and Bodhi in book one, MR. HEARTBREAKER. Bodhi is an adorable six-year-old who desperately wants a mother. He is a clever little matchmaker in this story.

Piper Rayne does a fantastic job with this second chance romance. It is skillfully written and heartfelt. The characters are dimensional and have relevant issues to overcome. It is the perfect addition to the Nest series. I am looking forward to book three, MR. SWOONY. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
