Jami Davenport gets a win with IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE HOCKEY (Pets and Pucks #1). Spokane Lynx captain Laine Jacobs and their social media admin Emory Hillman have been enemies since they played junior elite hockey together thirteen years ago. The Lynx is the farm team for the Seattle Sockeyes NHL team. Laine and Emory end up snowed in a cabin together at their holiday Christmas party. Add in finding an adorable Newfoundland that adopts them. They begin to get to know each other better and surrender their attraction.
Jami Davenport does a great job with this enemies-to-lovers novel. It is entertaining and festive. It is a fun read to start the holiday season. I enjoyed Laine and Emory’s banter. I love that they get to know each other better and forgive each other for the past. I love Ken/Bear the dog. He put a smile on my face throughout the story.
IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE HOCKEY is an excellent start to the Pets and Pucks series. I am looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
