The Pucking Wrong Man (Pucking Wrong #4) by C.R. Jan Review

The Pucking Wrong Man (Pucking Wrong #4)The Pucking Wrong Man by C.R. Jane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

C.R. Jan is on a winning streak with THE PUCKING WRONG MAN (Pucking Wrong #4). In this story, Dallas Knights hockey defenseman Camden James offers homeless ballerina Anastasia (Ana) Lennox a place to stay, and he doesn’t plan on letting her go.

Just like the previous men in this series, Camden is obsessed with his female, and he is morally grey. Despite that, I like his character. He had a similar past as Ana’s and wants to take care of her. I enjoyed the constant text between him and his teammates (aka the circle of trust). They are extremely amusing and had me continually laughing.

Ana had an abusive childhood. Her foster brother Michael torments her in this story. She does not seem to catch a break, until she meets Camden. As a result, she has a hard time trusting and opening-up for fear of once again being hurt.

C.R. Jan does a fantastic job with this story. It is skillfully written, thought provoking, and a page turner. I could see it triggering some people. THE PUCKING WRONG MAN is an excellent addition to the Pucking Wrong series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
