Jami Davenport lights the lamp with SHOW ‘EM HOW (Bang Brothers Hockey #2). NHL player/Single dad Jakob Bang is in desperate need of a nanny after being traded to Portland Icehawks. He is shocked when he discovers the highly recommended nanny by his team, Gardenia (Dee) Bliss, was his one night stand he cannot stop thinking about. Jacob and Dee are opposites having nothing in common. They agree to temporarily work together before Dee plans on going back to school giving Jacob time to find another nanny. However, Dee is the first nanny his boys like. Add in Jacob’s newly retired mom with a mission to play matchmaker.
Jami Davenport does a fantastic job with this story. The characters are likeable and dimensional. They face compelling situations. The twins are great. I love how Gardinia interacts with them. I also love Jakob and Dee’s love of music. SHOW ‘EM HOW is an excellent addition to both the Portland Icehawks series and the Bang Brothers Hockey series.
I love that this series is a collection of stories by different authors that I happen to already read. It is fun hearing them cross reference characters from the different novels. I am looking forward to Kat Mizera’s story next, book three HIT ‘EM HARD, and the next book in the Porland Icehawks series, GRINDING. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
