Elise Faber lights the lamp with LACE ‘EM UP (Bang Brothers Hockey #1). Eagles Hockey player Kingston Bang rescued runaway bride, Aurora (Rory). Rory is staying with Kingston when his matchmaking mother comes by for an unexpected visit. Seeing Rory’s wedding dress in the closet she assumes Kingston and Rory are engaged. Instead of telling her the truth they pretend to be engaged in hopes that she will stop matchmaking for her son.
Rory is friends with Chrissy from BROKEN LACES (Eagles Hockey #1). Kingston is teammates with Rome from the same story. Kingston and Rory both work for Chrissy’s dad, Jean-Michel Dubois. Chrissy, Rome, and Jean-Michel are all in this story. Rory has a dog rescue. Kingston adopted his corgi pup Zeus from Rory’s rescue in BROKEN LACES.
Elise Faber does a fantastic job with this story. The characters have great chemistry. The story is entertaining and there are unexpected twists throughout the story. The main characters are well developed and likeable. They face relevant situation that make an interesting novel.
LACE ‘EM UP is an excellent start to the Bang Brothers Hockey series and an excellent addition to the Eagles Hockey series. I am looking forward to Kingston’s brother Jakob story next by author Jami Davenport SHOW ‘EM HOW. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
