Kat Mizera is on a winning streak with book two in the L.A. Phantoms series, FOUL PLAY. This is Ivan Rochenko and Cheyenne Russell's story. We first met both characters in book one, POWER PLAY. Cheyenne is a famous model and friends with the Phantoms team owner, Harper Barrowman. Ivan is a player on the team.
I like Cheyenne and Ivan. Cheyenne is used to people wanting things from her. She appreciates Ivan because he treats her with respect and genuinely likes her for the person she is and not “who” she is. Cheyenne and Ivan are both busy with their careers. Neither one is looking for a relationship. Ivan recently had a break up with a long-time girlfriend. Cheyenne has a six-year plan that does not include a relationship.
They spend time together and get to know each other better. They get with each other when they are in the same city. Both are uncertain what the other is feeling. They have amazing chemistry and make a wonderful couple. There are fun situations and interesting conflicts.
FOUL PLAY is an excellent addition to the L.A. Phantoms series. I am looking forward to Canyon and Saylor’s story next, PLAY BOOK. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
