Fake Shot (Boston Rebels #2) by Julia Connors Review

Fake Shot (Boston Rebels #2)Fake Shot by Julia Connors
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Julia Connors scores with FAKE SHOT (Boston Rebels #2). In this story, Boston Rebels goalie, Mathieu Coltier (Colt), ends up temporarily living with his best friend Jameson Flynn’s younger sister, Jules. When out one evening he rescues her from another man’s advances by calling her his fiancée and kissing her. Unfortunately, a video of them goes viral. Neither one of them wants it to hurt their careers, so they fake an engagement.

Jules is the sister of Audrey (CENTER ICE, Boston Rebels #1) and Jameson Flynn (ON THE LINE, Frozen Hearts Series #4). I loved this story. Jules and Colt have known each other for a long time. She is eight years younger than him. She had a crush on him growing up. He had no clue. Jules’ crush turned into hate. Colt had no idea why she didn’t like him. They have a complicated past. The two have fantastic chemistry.

Julia Connors does an exceptional job with this story. It is skillfully written and entertaining. It is the perfect addition to the Boston Rebel series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
