Lauren Blakely scores with WELL AND TRULY PUCKED (My Hockey Romance #4). In this story, yoga instructor Briar Delaney’s ex-boyfriend steals her cat, Frances Furbottom. While she is trying to get her back (by breaking into his apartment) she is helped by three professional hockey player friends: Hollis Bouchard, Rhys Corbyn, and Gavin Worthy.
The next thing she knows the three of them are helping her with romance lessons to aid her in writing an article for a contest her ex is hosting. The topic, What makes a great boyfriend? It is only supposed to be for a week. She works for the Sea Dogs, and the guys play for their crosstown rivals the Golden State Foxes. There is a conflict of interest. However, the more time they spend together the more devoted they become.
Lauren Blakely does a great job with this story. It is funny and heartwarming. I love Briar’s Dachshund Donut. The guys are great. Briar is sweet. They have great chemistry. It is a feel-good novel that makes you smile. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
