Cam Girl Audrey Hudson holds a grudge against Denver Dragon’s Hockey star Charlie Mann after he stood her up on a setup date. Little did they realize they sort of knew each other. Charlie (Charles) was one of Audrey’s (Lacey’s) first clients. After Audrey’s house has some major issues, and she needs to move out while her place is being worked on. Charlie offers for her stay at his place; she reluctantly accepts.
Audrey is the best friend (and the former roommate) of Chandler Hart from THE HAT TRICK book #1. Audry had a difficult life growing up, as a result she is not interested in relationships. Charlie was hurt by his previous girlfriend. He hasn’t been in a relationship or had sex since. I like that they form a friendship once they live together. They have amazing chemistry and help each other heal from their past.
THE POWER PLAY is a fun and entertaining story. The characters are likable and face interesting challenges. It is an excellent addition to the Hat Trick series. I look forward to Brynn’s story THE BREAK OUT. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
