Anastasija White lights the lamp with BREAKAWAY (Sinners on the Ice #3)
Nevaeh Lawrence and NHL defenseman Roman Pashkevich accidentally gets married while drunk in Las Vegas. They decided to temporarily stay together so that Roman’s reputation would not take a hit. Nevaeh begins to have feelings for Roman. However, Roman is haunted by his past and does not feel deserving of love.
Anastasija White does a nice job with this story. The characters are likable.
Roman is plagued by the death of his twin brother. He hates himself and feels it would not be fair to Nevaeh to pursue a relationship as a result. He is a good guy with a big heart. Nevaeh grew up in a loveless family. She has issues to deal with her ex-boyfriend. They are both good for each other and help each other heal.
BREAKAWAY is an excellent addition to the Sinners on the Ice series. The characters face interesting situations, and they grow throughout the novel. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
