My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Former hockey player turned author, Stone Madden, attends a writer’s retreat in Lake Spark, Illinois. He is paired with romance author Harlow Olive. They are opposites that bicker from the start but cannot deny their attraction to each other. They want to continue to see each other, but he lives in Lake Spark, and she lives in Florida. Distance becomes an issue.
Stone is the brother of Vaughn Madden from WAITING TO PLAY (Lake Spark Off-Season #3. We met Stone in that story.
Stone and Harow have great chemistry together. I enjoyed their emails to each other. I like that they didn’t want to text because they wanted it to be more personable. Their bickering is entertaining.
Evey Lyon does a great job with this story set in the Lake Spark Universe. SHOULD HAVE KNOWN is a fun start to the Lake Spark Inn series. I am looking forward to Holden’s and Lexi’s story next, SHOULD HAVE RUN. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
