Madi Danielle scores with CROSS CHECKED (Hat Trick). Singer Spencer Sparks’ NHL boyfriend of two years, Kenneth Richardson, breaks up with her over social media, making it appear like she is the bad guy.

She decides to spend some time with her best friend of twenty-four years Denver Dragons hockey goalie Jared Colver. The two admit that they have had a crush on the other but never said anything because they did not want to hurt their friendship.

Madi Danielle does a nice job with this story. It is skillfully written and entertaining. Kenneth and Jared play in the same division, they have a couple of interesting encounters on the ice.

Spencer and Jared are great together. I like that it is revealed they had feelings for each other and take a chance on a relationship.

I am looking forward to hearing more of their story in Brynn’s book, THE BREAK OUT. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
