Pro-hockey player Chase Lockhart heads home to Starlight Cove to recuperate from a season-ending injury. He wants to rekindle his on-again-off-again 10-year relationship with Addison McKenzie. The problem is she's his best friend Levi's little sister, and she's giving him the cold shoulder.
I like Chase and Addison. They are on opposite coasts most of the time. Chase plays hockey in Vancouver and Starlight Cove is in Maine. They had a misunderstanding which needs to be resolved. Chase is very thoughtful. He gives back to the people he loves and appreciates. He is family orientated. He has only known hockey and is struggling with what comes next. Since graduating from college, Addison's goal has been to turn around the families’ resort. She is very hard-working and always determined to prove herself. The two have amazing chemistry, and you can't help but cheer them on.
This is the first book that I have read by Brighton Walsh. I enjoyed her writing style. Despite being the 5th book in the Starlight Cove series, I could follow the storyline with no issues. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
