My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Hannah Gray lights the lamp with LOST BOY (The Puck Boys of Brooks University #5). This is Cade Huff’s and Haley Thompson’s story. Haley is the sister of Hunter Thompson (CHOSEN BOY, The Puck Boys of Brooks University #4). LOST BOY takes place following CHOSEN BOY. At the end of that story, we discovered Cade was entering rehab and Haley learned that she was pregnant with Cade’s baby. To say that I was anxiously awaiting this story was an understatement.
The novel starts out with Cade in rehab but then flashes back four months earlier to when Haley moves in with Hunter, Cade, and Watson because her dorm flooded. Hannah Gray does a great job with these transitions.
LOST BOY was a heartfelt and amazing read. The characters went through so much. Cade and Haley both had traumatic experiences in high school that left them with scars. Both charters grew so much throughout this story.
Cade was dance partners with Poppy. Poppy was Sutton’s (roommate/nemesis from book 4). Sutton is Hunter’s girlfriend. It was noteworthy hearing Poppy's story.
LOST BOY was an amazing story. It had my emotions all over the board. I am looking forward to the final book in this series PERFECT BOY. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
